Fosse Farmhouse - The Pine Room

The Pine Room is furnished with English and French antique furniture and has a canopied lace double bed. This is the most popular bedroom in the Farmhouse B&B as many fans of the Japanese anime Kiniro Mosaic know it as being the main character Shinobu's bedroom. This spacious room is also suitable for families as there is an additional bed and an extra pull out bed if required sleeping up to 4. There is a large ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and a hand held shower. The 18th Century Cotswold stone farmhouse is furnished throughout with a fascinating collection of French brocante, English chintz and antique textiles. We are fully licensed to serve wines and spirits. Children and babies welcome.... and well behaved dogs too. The Pine Room is a Family Room that encompasses a double bed & single bed and a pull out trundle bed if required. There is a large en-suite bathroom with a bath basin and WC. The Pine Room is located on the first floor of the Farmhouse. Due to the Covid19 pandemic we will not be meeting guests on arrival therefore guests will need to carry their own luggage up the stairs to the first floor. At the top of the stairs turn left and the Pine Room is immediately in front of you. During the pandemic only the Pine Room and the Garden are available for guests to use. The Breakfast Room and Lounge on the ground floor are both now closed until further notice. Breakfast-in-a-bag will be delivered on a tray and left outside your bedroom at an agreed time or it can be enjoyed in the garden. I live on the premises and during Covid19 I can be contacted by (Hidden by Airbnb) messenger and text. Social distancing will be enforced at all times and the wearing of face masks will be encouraged. There is a hand sanitiser dispenser at the entrance to the Farmhouse and we recommend that all guests use it on arrival and whenever entering the property during their stay. Fosse Farmhouse is located beside the oldest Roman Road in England - the Fosseway (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) years ago the Romans discovered this area and built temples and garrisons in the surrounding fields. The surrounding countryside has been recognised by the environmental agency as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty AONB. There is a public footpath that links the Farmhouse to the village of Castle Combe ( 20 minute walk). The amazing World Heritage Site of Stonehenge is just 45 minutes drive from Fosse Farmhouse. A trip to this incredible structure is not to be missed! The Cotswolds and the pretty village of Bibury is another wonderful day out. The nearest railway station is Chippenham and from there you can take a taxi to my house (about £24). We recommend that you have a car during your visit as there is no public transport in the village. The nearest local bus stop is a 30 minute walk.Car Hire rentals are available in Chippenham at Enterprise Car Hire. To ensure the safety of all our guests we are maintaining strict cleaning and hygiene policies during the Covid19 outbreak. If you are feeling unwell prior to arrival or you have been in close contact with anyone that has tested positive for Covid 19 during the past 14 days you should not visit the property. During your stay at Fosse Farmhouse we will not be servicing your room therefore if you require any additional items or general help please (Hidden by Airbnb) me. On departure please place all your used breakfast items in the waste bin. To lower the risk of COVID transmission please remove your bed sheets and duvet cover and used towels and place them inside one of the used pillow cases from the bed and leave them in the room. Prior to departure please leave your key in the key drop box inside the front door.
