Welcome to Arafura Blue. This charming waterfront property in Nightcliff transforms an original 70s home into a coastal oasis, perfectly positioned to enjoy all that Darwin and the Northern Territory has to offer. Nestled on a lovely tree-lined street, it boasts impressive indoor and outdoor living spaces, including alfresco dining, a BBQ and large, glistening pool. Perfect for those travelling with the family, this spacious home offers five bedrooms, generous kitchen and internal laundry. Positioned directly on the coastline, Arafura Blue provides an impressive family-friendly retreat, walking distance to Nightcliff Beach, Nightcliff Jetty and Nightcliff Markets. Its spacious and light-filled interiors are purposely designed to cater to large groups. The living area features ample sofa seating, comfortable armchairs and a TV, perfect for movie nights at home. The property offers free Wi-Fi throughout and air-conditioning to keep you cool during Darwin’s warmer weather. There is a large wooden dining table inside along with outdoor furniture out on the deck. Enjoy a family meal at home thanks to the fully equipped kitchen or cook up a storm on the BQQ. The kitchen is fitted with a full-size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster, along with all your cooking essentials and servingware. There is an American-style breakfast bar at the kitchen for slow mornings. This expansive home comfortably sleeps 12 guests. There are five bedrooms, with three queen-sized beds and six single beds. Each is topped with hotel quality linens for a good night’s sleep and there is wardrobe space for storing your belongings. Two full bathrooms are well-presented and come with complimentary toiletries to use during your stay. Enjoy the convenience of internal laundry facilities for longer stays, including a washing machine and clothes rack. The laundry is located downstairs underneath the main house to the rear of the property. After a busy day exploring the city, cool off in the outdoor swimming pool. It is set among a lush, peaceful garden with lounge chairs to soak up the sun. If you are travelling with infants, we are able to provide a highchair and travel cot. The property comes with free parking on premise as well as free street parking outside the house. Please note, there is a small, completely separate flat under the house. We sometimes have a caretaker staying there. They are very discreet and not disturb you during your stay. During your stay, you and your group will have the entire space to yourself. The waterfront suburb of Nightcliff is located 15 minutes’ drive north of Darwin’s city centre. Locals flock to the Nightcliff foreshore for its walking and cycling trail and iconic Nightcliff Pool. Nightcliff Jetty is a popular spot to watch the sun set and food trucks are often parked in the area for a picnic meal. The Sunday Nightcliff Markets showcase a great range of arts and crafts along with food and local entertainment, while famous Mindil Beach Sunset Market offers Aboriginal art, fashion and a melting pot of delicious cuisines. From Nightcliff you’re just a short drive to all that Darwin has to offer. Parking: There is space for 2 cars in the driveway. Airport: You'll be less than a 15 minute drive from the Darwin International Airport. We recommend taking an Uber or hiring a car. Public Transport: The nearest bus stop is 200 metres from your home. The house is for accommodation only and is not suitable for parties, gatherings or functions of any kind. Guests should not create noise that could disturb our neighbours at any time during their stay. There is to be no more than 2 visitors to the house without our prior written consent.
