Good nights sleep on crisp clean sheets.All you need before a day exploring Scotland.Blythswood is a self-catering holiday flat in Falkirk.Sleeps up to 4 guests it's a ground floor one bedroom flat in an 18th century "Inn" with a traditional Scottish Pub next door with a large beer garden.1 bedroom with either two singles or one super king size bed to suit any pairing and an ensuite shower room. The kitchen/living area has a large sofa bed that could accommodate two.2 T.Vs with freeview&netflix All bed linen, towels, electricity, heating and wifi provided. A starter pack of complimentary supplies provided: toilet paper, coffee, tea, sugar. A larger starter pack can be provided for a fee upon request ie: milk, bread, cheese, fruit...also we offer a shuttle service at a reasonable price to and from the airports and train stations when available. You can book this through email or in the pub next door. Alternatively there are bus routes right outside your door and the taxi services are reasonable as well. Our pub and beer garden are there for your use as well. We are usually on site. Our home is just above you so any questions or problems just ask. Alternatively our pub staff next door are always available to help with anything. We have an award winning fish and chip shop next door to the pub. A fish and tackle shop three doors down. A spar shop, post office, pharmacy and day spa around the corner. A Co-Op shop, a betting shop, Chinese take away and a restaurant up the road. There are two large play parks within walking distance. There are many walking routes in the area one of which is just around the corner from our place. It's a beautiful nature walk along the Carron river with ends at the famous Kelpies Sculpture. A 30 meter high horse head sculpture next to the Fourth and Clyde canal. They are surrounded by a lovely park and visitor centre. Just past the Kelpies is a large family park and play area called the Helix with access to the Falkirk Football Stadium. Other nearby attractions: The Falkirk Wheel (10min drive) a rotating boat lift connecting the Fourth and Clyde canal with the Union canal. There is a Visitor Centre, restaurant and a play park with activities. Callendar House(10 min drive) is a mansion set within the grounds of Callendar Park and is home to a museum and Tearoom. The neighbouring city of Stirling has Stirling Castle, one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland. A lovely day out. Not far from the castle is Wallace Monument. A tower standing on the shoulder of the Abbey Craig. It commemorates Sir William Wallace(Braveheart) a 13th century Scottish hero. Glasgow and Edinburgh city centres are also filled with museums and castles just a short train ride away. There is a bus route right outside the door and taxi services are very reasonable. Falkirk has three main train stations. Larbert, Grahamston, and Falkirk High which have links to all major cities and the Highlands. The property is best suited for two guests however the large sofa bed in the living/kitchen area can accommodate two additional guests if needed. It's decorated to a high standard and the large outside space and pub next door makes for a comfortable stay.
