3 Bed House Close To Centre of Modbury

Our much loved terraced house is situated very close to the centre of Modbury. With lovely period features the kitchen and dining area are fully equipped for home cooking and relaxing in the evenings. Two double bedrooms, and a further room with two singles make this house perfect for couples, families and friends. For nearly 20 years, our family has enjoyed having holidays at this property. We spend as much time as we can here but let it as a holiday home for the rest of the year. This well loved property is in need of some updating, this is reflected in the price, but is clean and comfortable. Modbury is a pretty Georgian market town, with a good number of independent shops on the High Street. In addition to the well stocked Co-operative at the foot of the hill, there are also three pubs, a bistro and a café that’s locally famous for delicious homemade cakes. It is a fantastic base for visiting nearby unspoiled beaches, enjoying well-signed country and coastal path walks, shopping or stopping by for a coffee, a snack or a meal in our cafe’s and pubs. Dartmoor is within easy reach. The nearby port city of Plymouth is where Sir Francis Drake set off to fight the Spanish armada and where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America. Modbury’s own history is also interesting with tales of Roundhead and Cavalier battles. You can still walk Runaway Lane named after the end of one such battle. We are 15-20 minutes drive from beautiful beaches such as Bigbury Bay, Thurleston, South Milton, and the gorgeous towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth. Kingsbridge is 10-15 minutes drive. There is one parking place available right in front of the house. Please do not park elsewhere in Rowan Court. Additional parking can be found in Scalders Lane.
