Looking for a relaxing-stylish place located in a jaw dropping setting, then you have come to the right place. On top of that, we will provide you with complimentary breakfast vouchers to enjoy at Manna House Patisserie. And... You will be staying in what we describe as the gateway to Scotland. Whether it is a 10 minute drive from Edinburgh airport, the start of your journey to the Highlands, or a saunter into the capital city, Edinburgh, our location has some of the best access to Scotland. You will arrive on the terrace, literally on the front of South Queensferry, and wind your way up two short flights up a spiral staircase and then upstairs to your ensuite room to our lovely loft conversion. Sorry we don't have sufficient disabled access. Our room has windows on either side, with slightly restricted views of the three bridges. Guests are invited to enjoy our ensuite guest bedroom at their leisure. As South Queensferry is a gorgeous town, we want you to enjoy all the fab views, cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and boat trips on offer. It has everything you need to keep you entertained, fed and watered. While we are happy to share our upstairs space with you, our kitchen, living room and other spaces downstairs will remain private. We kindly ask you to respect our friendly neighbourhood. We love our neighbours and keen to keep them happy and feeling safe when new friends (you) come to visit. Due to the delicate furnishings and for the purposes of hygiene and cleanliness, we also kindly ask you not to eat in your bedroom (breakfast, lunch, dinner). We are happy for you to have snacks (crisps, biscuits, coffee etc). If you smoke, we ask you to do this away from the house, across the road by the benches where you will have one of the best views in the world to enjoy this with. Please do not smoke in common areas around the house or within the house. Guest bedroom & ensuite and entrance hall only. We do not offer access to our kitchen or other areas within the house. Upon arrival we aim to welcome all our guests in person. There will be times this will not be possible and will be in touch to let you know. We are super friendly hosts and love to make people feel at home. However letting our room to socialise with our guests is not our primary purpose for opening up our home. We also recognise many guests like to keep themselves to themselves so we won't be looking to hang out. That being said, we'd love to get to briefly know you and tailor our site seeing suggestions to some of the best places in South Queensferry, Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland that will suit your tastes and needs - so don't hesitate to ask or say hello when passing. We pinch ourselves everyday with the location we live in. We literally have front row seats of the world heritage site, the Forth Bridge. We love to pop down to Manna House, just beneath us, everyday to pick up a coffee, a loaf of bread, a cake or two and may be even stay for breakfast or lunch. Manna is also ideal for food to go. Scott's in Port Edgar (10min walk along the front) have a brilliant range of food and drink all day long as does the Rail Bridge Cafe. With three bridges to explore, you can't come to South Queensferry without going on a boat trip and getting up close to these magnificent structures as well as the surrounding islands and sea life. You might even see some puffins, seals and porpoises. As we said, we believe we are spoiled for great access to the rest of Scotland. We are a 10-15min drive from Edinburgh airport. There are also airport bus and train links. If you want to use public transport, you can take a 17 minute train journey from Dalmeny Station to Edinburgh Waverley, or cross the iconic Forth Bridge to the rest of Scotland. The Lothain Country Bus, no. 43, will nearly take you door-to-door by catching it at a bus stop minutes from our home into the heart of Edinburgh. Journey time can vary from 35-50mins depending on time of day. There is also lots of on street parking whether that is directly in front of us or 100-200m either side. Whether you like to walk, run or cycle, we are spoilt for access to some of the best routes and views in Scotland. We have forests, estates, marina's and beaches, all within walking distance.
