Room + breakfast in comfy cottage. (single room)

We live in a characterful farmhouse in a quiet location with spectacular countryside views. The village, with all amenities, is only a 10 minute walk. The property enjoys footpaths from the door along quiet county lanes. Due to covid 19, we follow the Airbnb 5 Step cleaning regime. We also provide antibac spray and gloves in all guest and communal areas. All guest rooms are cleaned in full PPE. If guests book one of the rooms, the other bedroom will NOT be made available to other families. Guests may have full use of the kitchen to make their own meals, drinks and snacks. We do provide a free continental breakfast. In addition, guests will have their own work surface with all crockery, cutlery pots, pans and handtowels etc. Due to covid concerns, we kindly ask visitors to wipe down any high touch surfaces after use with antibac spray and gloves which are located on the kitchen. There is a lovely garden with dining table and chairs at the back of the house to catch the evening sun and also a small table on the front patio, ideal for the morning sun. Both these areas are solely for guest use. Ideal spots to dine or unwind with a glass of wine and a good book. We welcome guests to use and enjoy these pretty spaces. Sitting outside with a coffee and admiring the views, whilst soaking in the peace and quiet is one of our favourite things to do! We are a mother and daughter team. We are readily available to offer help with recommendations of places to visit or places to eat. We are happy to chat , but equally will leave you to your own privacy. We are set in stunning scenery, on the edge of a delightful village. We are very proud of the fact that our village won the Calor Gas Community village of the year award in 2005. This is reflected in the friendly, warm and active village in which we live. We are located about 10 minutes drive from Matlock and Chesterfield and are also about 20 minutes from Bakewell and Chatsworth Park. For motorway access, we are close to the M1 links at both junction 28 and 29. Both junctions are about a 25 minute drive away. We are keen hikers and can provide advice on walking trails, some even from the front door. We have local buses running from the village centre to nearly towns. In addition, local buses to Matlock, Chesterfield and Sheffield are also close by. We do have rather steep, shallow stairs and other steps around the property. The beams are quite low in places. In addition, we do have cats, incase anyone has allergies.
