Set atop one of the highest points above the small town of Pollica the house enjoys unrivalled sea views of the Mediterranean's Cilento coast. It is 15 min (5km) to the nearest beach. Our rustic, spacious and airy family house is on two levels and nestled in a terraced orchard sitting among fig, orange, lemon and olive trees. 4 double beds, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, a large dining room, a sitting room with doors opening on to a south facing terrace with a panoramic view. Ideal for 2 families of 4. Cleanliness and respect for our home and possessions is paramount. We are happy to share if you are happy to look after our home as you would your very own. Sheets and towels are provided. There are books, cards and board games to enjoy. There house has strong WiFi. There is a BBQ in the garden. Toilet paper, water, coffee, tea, salt, sugar are provided. Please replace what you use. Beach towels are not included. Please bring your own. **AIR CONDITIONING** 2 of the 4 bedrooms and the sitting room have aircon/heating split units. Should you choose to use it there is a supplement of 10 Euros per day unless otherwise agreed. The house is priced and equipped for a maximum 8 guests. If there are any extra guests please ask for permission and we will give you a quote for the additional charge. On arrival we will take a 200 euro cash security deposit for any damages. This will be returned after check out. May not suitable for guests with restricted mobility. No dogs, cats or other animals are permitted. Sorry! Guests can wander the orchard and vegetable garden and there is an outdoor seating area. Should you want to enjoy picking vegetables from the garden this can be arranged for a small charge. You will be met on arrival and shown the house and a person will be available and reachable throughout your stay. About Pollica Pollica is a town in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy, 94 km from Salerno. The town rises to an elevation 370 meters from sea level. Inhabitants are known as Pollichesi. Pollica borders with Casal Velino, San Mauro Cilento, Sessa Cilento and Stella Cilento. Pollica has 5 hamlets: - Acciaroli - the largest, located by the sea, with a port. - Pioppi - the other sea village, famous for the studies of Ancel Keys over Mediterranean diet. - Celso - a hill village between Pollica and Galdo. - Galdo Cilento - a hill village between Celso and San Mauro Cilento. - Cannicchio - a hill village between Acciaroli and Pollica. Recently, this area of Italy has become the home of the slow food movement and is the perfect location for foodies and families alike. There are numerous farms which produce all their own food such as meat, cheese, fruit and vegetables and poultry, as well as dry cured meats. The little village of Pollica has a hairdresser, pharmacy, bank, post office, several bars, a car repair shop, a butcher, fishmonger, greengrocer, hardware store and post office. Whatever cannot be found right in Pollica, can be obtained in the local port town of Acciaroli. There is also a weekly market every Monday morning in Acciaroli.
