The Boat Shed nestles under a large ancient Monterey at the bottom of our garden in the beautiful village of Findhorn. Less than two minutes from Findhorn Bay and a ten minute walk to the beach on the Moray Firth. Guests have their own access and sole use of the Boat Shed. Just a short walk to local pubs, restaurants, cafes, shop and Marina. Perfect for a short break or holiday. If you want to book less than three nights, I may be able to accommodate you, please contact me. The Boat Shed accommodation is all at ground floor level. A relaxing light and airy open plan sitting room/kitchen with views across the Dunes. The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, pans, toaster, kettle and fridge (Picnic basket in the cupboard) The relaxing double bedroom with ensuite shower room is accessed off the living area. Double doors lead from the living area onto a small sheltered patio area, with the ancient pine providing a stunning canopy. The Boat Shed is a detached building with its own access off a quiet lane behind our house. There is off street parking adjacent to the property. Guests have sole use of the Boat Shed. As the Boat Shed is at the bottom of our garden we are available if required. Findhorn is a delightful holiday destination, with long sandy beaches and sheltered bay. Findhorn is fantastic for watersports, if you haven't tried before the local marina runs RYA classes and has equipment to hire. You can go on an adventure with North 58 to see the wildlife of the Moray Firth: Bottlenose Dolphins, Seals, Sea Birds, Whales...... Or take a water taxi across the Bay to the Culbin Forrest. Or just take a leisurely walk and sit and enjoy the view. The Bay is visited by Ospreys every year, you can watch them soaring across the sky and then plunging down into the Bay to catch their fish to take back to the Culbin Forrest to feed their young. The Ospreys are just one of the many feathered visitors to Findhorn Bay Nature Reserve. The Boat Shed has off street car parking. There is a public bus service to the village. The nearest train station is in Forres, six miles away. The nearest airport is Inverness, approx. 25 miles away. The Boat Shed is a new build, the patio and garden are still slightly raw and need time to recover, but nothing that will impact your stay. During June, July and August normally minimum of 7 nights stay, Saturday to Saturday. We want to be flexible so please contact us to enquire.
