Guestrooms and entries are widely separated and breakfast service is at separated areas. FlipJack Ranch is an historic 1882 farm set in towering redwoods and green fields. Our guests are welcome to tour the farm and meet our friendly animals. FlipJack Ranch is a "Farm Stay Style" Bed and Breakfast for adults. Hearty ranch style breakfasts (included) are served on our sixteen foot trestle dining table or outside in the sun. Best of all, a 'wake up' tray of coffee or tea is delivered right to your room each morning at your requested wake up hour. The Cowboy Room has a queen size log bed, and a twin. It has a private deck overlooking the redwoods and a wood fired stove. Sleeps 3 comfortably. Extra charge of $40 for third person in room. No infants or children. The Cowboy Room is on the second floor of the pioneer building, up 15 stairs. Located above the kitchen, you may hear some noise after 8:30am. You will have access to the public spaces which include the living room, a pool and hot tub, campfire ring, as well as the ten acres of farm, forest and trails. Sorry, our licensed kitchen is not open to guest use. We treat our guests like long lost friends. The amount of social interaction is up to you. We will do our best to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We can recommend our favorite hikes, bike routes, and wine tastings, or leave you to hibernate in relaxation. Hospitality is very important to us, so please ask if you have a request or need. Historic Bonny Doon (Santa Cruz Mountains) is a sleepy rural mountain village set among redwoods, wineries and pastures. Some of the best beaches in California are just two miles away. Enjoy the peace and quiet, or drive to civilization just 3 miles away. The Wilder Ranch mountain bike, hiking and equestrian trails are one mile away. The Santa Cruz bus stop is 1/4 mile away, 25 minute trip to town. Surfing is two miles away. Charming Davenport is 3 miles away. Public buses stop 1/8 mile from the ranch, but may not have practical schedules. Breakfast is served at 9-9:30. Please let us know if you have special dietary needs!
