‘Volets Verts’ - 1 bed gite

Idyllic gite in countryside location with 11 x 5 metre (1.5 m deep throughout) swimming pool (only shared with the owners). Ideal place for a couple looking to ‘chill out’ but with spectacular scenery, wildlife and outdoor ‘things to do’. Recently constructed gite forming part barn conversion offering over 50m2 of accommodation. Set in a countryside location and with stunning views the gite is a place for relaxation. The spacious and private balcony gets the morning and evening sun in summer. You have your own front door and are completely separate from the main house where we live. We try to be as considerate as possible regarding use of the pool when you are in situ. The owners live on site and are very willing to provide recommendations for days out, walks and places to eat. Aurignac is the nearest town with all the main facilities. Its ‘claim to fame’ is the existence of pre-historic man leading to the Aurignacean period of pre-history. There is a museum in the town devoted to this which is well worth a visit. Being so close to the Pyrenees, there is plenty to see and do, especially with an outdoor theme. Depending upon your fitness and preferences, we can provide you with a myriad of suggestions as to what to do and where to go, including over the Spanish border which is only 1 hour away. A car is essential in this semi-rural location. You have you own parking space in the covered barn area. We have a cat who loves to find out who the latest guests are in the gite. In particular she loves the comfy sofa on the balcony on a sunny summer afternoon!
