Beautifully set, alongside Church Beck which runs through the heart of Coniston village is this lovely & deceptively spacious little cottage. Situated close to the village centre, but hidden away down a private lane, Pebble Beck enjoys the very best of both worlds. Split over two floors, offering a plethora of comfortable rooms, there's enough room for couples, families and friends alike. Ground floor Entrance into the light and welcoming dining room, complete with coat hooks, boot storage, feature fireplace and underfloor heating. The dining room extends into the functional cottage kitchen, a spacious and well-appointed room with gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge. There's a small bistro table and chairs situated in the corner, perfect for a morning coffee & bite to eat. There's underfloor heating in here too! To the far end of the kitchen is a handy little cloakroom and W.C. Just off the kitchen is a great back porch area/utility room, complete with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, sink and fridge. This large lockable room is great for bike & outdoor gear storage. To the alternative end of the kitchen is the inviting & bright sitting room, complete with comfortable seating, log fire, LED Smart TV, Wi-Fi (+HD Sports) & DVD player. A great place to relax after a day of exploration. Patio windows in the sitting room also allow guests to access the delightful cottage garden. First floor An oak staircase leads up to three comfortable & stylish bedrooms, one en suite and the spacious house bathroom. Bedroom 1 - king size four-poster bed and en-suite shower room. Outside A charming private patio and sitting out area, complete with garden furniture. The garden is partially sheltered by a tall beech hedge and a great place to catch the day's sun. Travelling with a dog? We can offer free use of a 1 acre enclosed field in Coniston village, perfect for off the lead running, walking, training and playing. Use by arrangement only. Coniston is an excellent centre for outdoor enthusiasts, with some superb climbing, walking, water sports, fishing and cycling to be had all year round. For cycling enthusiasts there are some fantastic trails to be found in the area and the delights of Grizedale Forest are only a short ride away. For runners of all abilities the Lakeland Trail series visits Coniston yearly offering 5k, 10k, marathon and half marathon options. A favourite events amongst visitors and locals is the annual Coniston 14, 13.9 miles of scenic beauty as runners of all ages lap Coniston Water. For endurance athletes the Montane Lakeland 100 & Lakeland 50 events depart from Coniston each July and a whole host of water sports can be enjoyed down at the boating centre. Lastly for those who come to walk the area, no trip to Coniston would be complete without a climb up the Old Man of Coniston. However for those who like to keep their feet firmly on the ground there's The Ruskin Museum, which depicts the fascinating history of the area including the famous water speed record attempt of Donald Campbell and on the eastern shores of the lake lies Brantwood the Victorian home of philosopher John Ruskin, where regular events and art courses are held. Should you just wish to relax during your time here then the tremendous landscape of cascading waterfalls, streams, lakes and mountains should help you switch off from modern life.
