Little Manor is a 200 year old Somerset farmhouse that has recently been renovated to provide three deluxe en-suite letting bedrooms for B&B guests. The house and large garden is in a rural setting with views to the south of the Mendip Hills. There is free parking onsite. See also listings for the Japanese Room and the Arcadian Room. This sunny room is a favourite of my family, overlooking the garden with views of the Mendip Hills to the south. The garden is echoed in the fresh green, grey, white and wood decorating scheme, a special feature being the solid English oak vanity unit in the shower room, using wood from a tree that once grew in my garden. The room and its en-suite are finished to the highest standard of comfort and luxury with smart TV, home-baked goods, hospitality tray, free WiFi, hairdryer and big fluffy towels. Breakfast is served as a buffet in the dining room and guests can relax in the sitting room with board games or television if they wish. Located in the hamlet of West Hewish, just over a mile from J21 of the M5, two miles from a main line railway station and seven miles from Bristol International Airport, Little Manor is very easy to get to. From here guests can explore the Georgian cities of Bristol and Bath, visit the famous Cheddar Gorge and caves, have a round of golf at the nearby Mendip Spring Golf Course, go horse riding, cycle the Strawberry Line, spend a day on the beach at Weston-Super-Mare or just relax in the garden. Walkers and bird watchers will love the Mendip Hills AONB and the internationally significant habitat of the Somerset Levels and Moors and there is easy access via the M5 to Cardiff and Taunton for slightly longer jaunts. I will always be there to greet you on arrival and get you settled in. I live at Little Manor and your buffet menu and options, if ordered, will be available from 7.30am in the dining room together with a pot of freshly made coffee. If required, the daily hot option is available from 8.30am. I'm around most of the time during the day for any queries or a chat about local amenities, walks etc.. Of interest to walkers new to Somerset, I can offer guided walking breaks of two or three days taking in walks to suit various abilities in the beautiful Mendip and Quantock Hills. For further details of this please contact me. Little Manor is located just over one mile from Junction 21 of the M5 which makes getting around very easy. From here you can reach many popular destinations within an hour. For city lovers Bristol is half an hour away while Bath, Wells, Cardiff and Taunton are all within a 50 mile radius. For country lovers, West Hewish is part of the Somerset Levels and Moors with its unique flat landscape extending from the Victorian town of Clevedon (with its restored pier) on the Bristol Channel coast to Ilchester in the south of the county. Beloved by bird watchers, parts of the Severn Estuary are protected wading bird habitats, while starling murmurations can often be seen at Ham Wall on the Levels. The nearby Mendip Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1972, the Polden Hills and the Quantock Hills (also designated an AONB in 1956) provide great walking opportunities while the Cotswold Hills (AONB 1966), Exmoor National Park and the Brecon Beacons National Park (International Dark Sky Reserve) are all accessible for the more adventurous. Special local attractions are the internationally famous Cheddar Gorge with its show caves where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton was found in 1903, Brunel's famous Suspension Bridge over the River Avon in Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare for beach fun and amazing sunsets. There are a variety of good pubs and restaurants within a five mile radius, including of course, in Weston-Super-Mare. A list of recommended nearby pubs and restaurants is included in the welcome pack in your room. These range from high-end unique dining at The Ethicurean in the Walled Garden near Wrington through characterful Somerset pubs like the Crown at Churchill and the Plough at Wrington serving great food and atmosphere, to carveries at the Full Quart and Puxton Park, both just a quarter of a mile from Little Manor. There are particularly good Italian and Chinese restaurants in Clevedon, just ten minutes away. The bus service from Weston-Super-Mare to Bristol passes within a quarter of a mile of Little Manor but having your own transport is the best way of getting around from here. There is a train station within a couple of miles at Worle from where you can access all national services. Bristol International Airport is seven miles away.
