Luxurious hot tub under the stars!

This beautifully renovated house built in 1950 is located just a 10 min walk from the centre of town, cafes, shops and restaurants etc and only a 5 minute drive to the spectacular Middleton Beach. Filled with natural light, upcycled and vintage furniture and the many special things we have collected from all over the world gives it a homely and cosy feel. Enjoy a soak in the luxurious 5 seater hot tub out under the trees! This is a perfect getaway for a group of friends or family. Situated right on Mt Melville, in less than a minutes’ stroll up the hill you can find yourself immersed in the native bushland with great walking/mountain biking paths, plenty of wildlife and fantastic views of Albany and the surrounding bays and peninsulas. The best thing about our house is the large outdoor deck and 5 seater spa! Set at 39 degrees 24/7, you can go for a swim at the beach and then come home and jump straight in! Set into the deck amongst the trees in our very private back yard; enjoy a glass of wine in the spa while watching the sun go down and the pelicans and ibis flying overhead. The spa can be (and is!) enjoyed even in the middle of winter (there is tarp overhead so you can go in even if it’s raining!). Our spacious back yard is home to blue wrens, kookaburras, many species of bright coloured parrots, ring tailed possums, king skinks and bandicoots. It’s set up perfectly for outdoor dining, relaxing and playing. Our gorgeous house feels like a holiday house year round. Filled with natural light, our upcycled and vintage furniture and the many special things we have collected from all over the world gives it a homely and cosy feel. You can relax in the sun filled lounge room during the day or snuggle up on the luxurious king furniture leather couch with a book and a cup of tea and enjoy views of the Porongurup and Stirling Mountains. Do some yoga on the back deck or lie on the soft grass under a tree in the sun – our place is peaceful, quiet and designed for you to feel fully at home and relaxed. We have loads of books and fun board games for all ages, an X box, apple TV and DVD player for you to enjoy (please not we do not have an actual TV - only apple TV). We have Netflix, Stan (both free) Foxtel and iTunes for your use and a movie projector so you can watch them on the big screen! The house has two bedrooms and a bedsit which we use as a third bedroom. The main large bedroom has a luxury king size Tempur Cloud mattress and black out blinds should you need them, so you will be sure to have a very restful sleep! We have two new queen mattresses for the second and third bedroom for extra comfort. You are more than welcome to use anything you find in our stocked pantry (which has many oils, vinegar's, herbs, spices and other usual suspects), fridge and fully organic garden, which is often filled with herbs and various seasonal vegetables. We are a 10min walk from the excellent and award winning Albany Farmers Market which is a foodie’s paradise, the local farmers themselves selling their seasonal produce of fruit and veg, meats, eggs, milk and cheeses, bread etc and our kitchen has everything you need to make whatever gourmet delights your heart desires. We have good quality pots, pans, knives and all the bits and pieces you need to cook whatever you want. We also have a bbq on the back deck. The house has everything you should need including a dishwasher, a washing machine and dryer. We have an awesome heater in the lounge room that heats the entire house and we have also put individual oil heaters in each room should you need them. The house and yard is very private and fully secure with fencing all the way around. Small dogs should be completely fine, however one guest said their dog got out so please discuss this with us before you book if you plan to bring a dog. We have really tried to think of everything to ensure you have an amazing stay and are happy to chat in person about any requirements you may have. This is a perfect getaway for a group of friends or family, but please be aware the house is not huge so may be a bit cramped with a lot of people. It is also full of our special things, so may not be suitable for very small children (we are happy to answer any questions you have about this before you book). Guests can access our entire house and front and back yards. Guests can utilise our amazing hot tub in our very private back yard under the trees and stars. Hot tub is always ready to go. Our guests are welcome to pick whatever veggies and herbs we might have growing in the garden all year round. We will be available via phone and email should you need us. We live in Albany so can also pop around if you need us for anything. We are a minutes drive and 10 minute walk from the centre of town. We are a 5 minute drive from iconic Middleton Beach and a stack of other incredibly post card perfect beaches located around Albany. We live halfway up Mt Melville so at the top of our street you can access loads of bush walking tracks and check out the magnificent views! There are plenty of places to get groceries or go out to eat and our awesome farmers market is just down the road (Sat mornings only). There is ample parking at our house. You will need a car to get out to all the beautiful beaches etc but if you’re just staying in town you can walk to many places from our house. You can hire bikes from Middleton Beach. This is not a party house! We are one of the only places in Albany with a hot tub, and we ask that you are considerate of this very expensive luxury. There have been a few times we have come back to find our hot tub filthy or broken, so for this reason, please be aware of the following: The hot tub is checked on your arrival day and your departure day. If for any reason the hot tub is required to be drained on your departure day due to miss-use, or whereby we feel the cleanliness of the hot tub is not up to standard for its next check-in, you will be charged $200.00 to drain, clean and refill the hot tub. Further, you are financially responsible for any damage to the hot tub, hot tub cover including repair and/or damaged or missing parts due to misuse. Please be aware that if you are staying more than a couple of days and plan to use the hot tub regularly, you will need to add chemicals and possibly clean the filters. If you don't do this the spa will become murky and dirty and you may get sick. We have left a detailed description on the spa itself, of exactly what you need to do in order to keep it clean and hygienic. Our hot tub is not a toy and we insist that you are prepared to be respectful of it if you stay. It will be perfect upon your arrival and keeping it in a healthy condition will be entirely your responsibility. Permitted Guests: Only the number of guests including children, listed in your reservation are permitted on the property and may stay overnight. You were advised as to the maximum number of guests permitted at the accommodation and as indicated on the airbnb booking. If you arrive with more guests than indicated at time of your reservation or have more than the permitted number of guests at the accommodation at any time during your stay, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation immediately and the entire cost of your accommodation rental will be forfeited. Tents, campers or trailers are not permitted on the property. Minimum Age: Renters must be at least 30 years of age. We prefer adults only in our house as we have had numerous families with small children that have gone through our things, broken precious keepsakes, trashed our spa etc.
