The cottage offers you an industrial themed space which is still cosy and inviting. It offers you the perfect way to 'slow live'. The space is deceptive, you have access to a large open space which offers a fully fitted luxury kitchen with electric range cooker. The kitchen has everything you need including a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and toaster and we will ensure you a have basic staples too. Cook up a storm, grab your favourite tipple and enjoy the views of the garden. If the British weather allows, feel free to eat outside. There you’ll find a spacious deck opening into a private garden with patio and mature plants, seating on the deck and a BBQ for the outdoor cook. Enjoy your morning cuppa from the large sumptuous sofa and embrace the full beauty of the natural surroundings by opening the French doors, maybe spot the pheasants and wildlife. Continue into the luxurious double bedroom. Sleep soundly and wake refreshed on the contemporary bed sporting a wonderful Hypnos mattress, fine linen and faux furs. All this opening up into the beautiful en-suite bathroom with the most gorgeous copper bath. Next door is the incredible bathroom, have a soak in the jaw dropping copper roll top bath. Soak after your day of adventures or just enjoy your slow-living experience. If staying in is your thing, take advantage of the cosy downstairs lounge. Another sofa and warming electric stove, put on your favourite TV programme or slow it down with your favourite song on the stereo. Pick up a book, grab a blanket and snuggle in the armchair or sit in the window sill to fully unwind. If you wish to take your experience to the next level, then why not consider the ultimate in self care and take a private yoga session (Subject to availability) access to your own personal yoga studio, with a session personally tailored to you. (ask for details and to book) If you visit in Autumn season, then take a stroll around the neighbouring orchard and hand pick some apples, pears and plums. (just ask for access) There is allocated parking available and a place to secure bikes during your stay. The property is next to the main house, so we are available for questions or to help you navigate the local area. Just 2 miles away is the lovely market town of Ledbury with the famous Market House in the centre of long street known fondly as The Homend. You’ll soon see why Ledbury has been voted one of the prettiest towns in the UK by The Times in 2019. It's full of independent retailers, boutique shops, supermarkets, local butchers and bakers, coffee shops and pubs. There is a wide selection of eateries and we recommend Raduni the Indian restaurant, where Abdul and the team will provide you with a wonderful culinary experience ( and a very relaxed & fun evening). Looking for delights from the East then The Blue Orchid offers exquisite Thai cuisine. At Chez Pascal, the most amazing French onion soup, or The Olive Tree with its extensive Italian menu. If it is a simple homely pub you’re after then our pick is The Horseshoes (particularly with food fired pizza and open fires). A little further afield try Verzon for a special meal or join one of their Chase Gin visits. If that sounds too much then simply relax in the bar with a cocktail. If cider is more your tipple, then take a tour to Westons Cider in March Marcle and stock up at their shop. The Malvern Hills are a much visited walker’s paradise and lie just 7 miles away. If looking to explore the commons then take a short drive down into Holybush. Take your pick from a network of scenic walking trails through unspoilt countryside nearby. Eastnor castle is 5 miles away you can take a walk at the Deer park all year round and gain wonderful views of the castle or visit one of their many annual events and festivals throughout the year. You will also find the Landrover Experience or pottery on offer within the Eastnor estate. The annual Ledbury Poetry festival runs every July with a wide offering of events within the town. Further afield you have the larger Towns of Hereford to the west and Cheltenham and Gloucester to the East. This makes Hillfield Cottage very accessible to the Cheltenham festivals (Jazz, Science and Literature and the big racing festivals held in March and November. The Wye valley is a short drive where you’ll find canoeing, rock climbing and abseiling. Whatever the day's adventures bring, you can be sure of a magical evening back at Hillfield Cottage. Ledbury is accessible by car in under 5 minutes or you can take the direct walkway, which takes about 40 minutes. In less than a minute, you can take a short stroll across the countryside behind the property. There are local bus services from the Market square and the train station at the North end of the town.
