The 50 acres offers a beautifully maintained enchanted garden, with rustic and historic outbuildings, a working lavender farm, breathtaking sunsets and a menagerie of animals. The very cosy and comfortable semi-detached suite provides a home away from home for couples or groups of four. NB A LARGE AREA OF LAVENDER HAS BEEN REMOVED IN PREPARATION FOR REPLANTING. The very cosy semi-detached suite has its own entrance and outdoor area overlooking the historic outbuildings and vegetable garden. Ideal for couples and families alike, the well-appointed and private suite is fully air conditioned with a large living/dining area, separate queen bedroom, queen futon and bathroom, including a separate shower and bath. The extremely spacious area includes linen and towels, wireless internet, air conditioning, and large screen TV with DVD. The kitchen has all necessary amenities including, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, crockery, cutlery etc. There is a Nespresso machine and fully stocked tea selection. Let us know if you want to collect any free range eggs from our chickens for eggs in the morning (if chickens are on the lay). Wake up to the sound of birds chirping and stroll or cycle into Millthorpe for a delicious breakfast made of scrumptious local produce complimented by locally roasted coffee. A short distance from Millthorpe, the beautiful and charming village offers highly acclaimed hatted restaurant Tonic, convivial country pubs, quaint cafes, historic museum, boutique shops, cellar doors, and a beautifully manicured sports oval with a kids playground. Finish the day with a game of tennis (tennis racquets available) on the property, a refresher at the pub and a sublime dinner at Tonic. We are more than happy to provide restaurant suggestions and where necessary make any bookings for you. Guests have full access to the self-contained kitchen with coffee machine, fridge and amenities - ideal for short and long term stays. It includes a private bathroom with a shower and bath. The suite also has private access, with an adjoining garden and verandah. Parking is adjacent to the entrance and provides easy access. The suite is located adjoining the main house but offers complete privacy and private access. We are always available for a chat or provide information on the region including walks, restaurants and cellar door recommendations. Escape to the delights of Millthorpe, a beautiful heritage-listed village in Central West NSW and part of the Orange Wine Region. Millthorpe is an ideal weekend destination, situated 20 minutes drive from Orange, only 10 minutes from Orange Airport, 30 minutes from Bathurst and 3.5hrs from Sydney. Or you can come by train. Millthorpe is a beautifully preserved village, established during the pioneering era. The village is classified by the National Trust and the bluestone buildings and cobbled streets signify its rich agricultural history. Millthorpe's street-scape has remained unchanged since the early 1900's. The village comes alive on weekends and is full of historic and artistic charm. Fine food and wine complement an escape to Millthorpe. Enjoy dining at award winning restaurants, delightful cafes with outdoor courtyards, great coffee and local produce, as well as a variety of pubs and clubs each with their own restaurant. Drop into one of the welcoming cellar doors for locally produced award winning cool- climate wines or join a wine tour. This vibrant, cool-climate wine region offers a dynamic food and wine experience. Orange airport is 15 minutes drive from Millthorpe. The XPT also stops in Millthorpe as well as Blayney and Orange. We recommend you visit by car to allow you to explore what the area has to offer. Enjoy a complimentary bottle of local wine upon arrival. We are undergoing a extensive replanting phase and have removed a large section of lavender in preparation for replacement. If the lavender is the focus of your trip, please enquire before booking in order for us to update you. Picking your own lavender is currently not available. We do offer one night stays for last minute bookings. Please contact us if you are interested in a one night stay. Pets are considered upon enquiry. Additional cleaning charges apply.
