Idyllic 5 bedroom cottage within Château grounds

A stunning and historic cottage set within the grounds of a 17th Century wine Château, surrounded by vineyards and woods. The cottage is deceptively large with patios surrounding the pool, and an outdoor dining area. Situated in a peaceful area the property is a “real get away from everything” retreat. The nearest main town, Nerac, is a 10 minute drive and offers many restaurants and supermarkets. The area falls within the Buzet appellation with numerous small villages and local markets. The Chateau is set within 12 hectares, please feel free to walk around the grounds and the woods. We will explain where the boundaries are when you are here. The cottage has its own swimming pool as seen in the photos and this is for your exclusive use. Please note that the pool is not fenced, there is an alarm that you should set when you are not using the pool, particularly if you have young children. It is your responsibility to do this. The château has its own private swimming pool that is not seen from the cottage and we would respectfully ask guests not to come down to this area. If you want to get away from things then you’ve chosen the right place. The only noise you’ll hear, apart from bird song, is the occasional tractor doing important stuff in the vineyards! You will need your own car as the Chateau is quite remote. Unfortunately Uber hasn’t reached this part of the world but there are local taxis, if they feel like working. There are a number of small local villages, with the all important croissant and baguette shops, withi (Website hidden by Airbnb) minute drive. The pretty town of Nerac is a 15 minutes drive with a number of shops, restaurants and a Saturday market. All the major supermarkets can be found on the way to Nerac: Super U, Intermarché and Lidl. Lavadac is 10 minutes away and the Wednesday morning market is worth seeing.
