Spacious and charming village house

Our holiday home in the quiet village of Pierrefaites (Pierremont-sur-Amance) has a spacious living area, 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms (showers) and sleeps up to 9 people + a large garden . The house welcomes you as well in winter as in summer. The eclectic often vintage furniture and decorations mirror who we are and the well-equipped though simple kitchen tells something about our love for cooking and spending quality time with family and friends. The house is surrounded by a large garden (+ grassland with sheep) that gives multiple possibilities to relax. Downstairs, next to the kitchen, there is a dining room and a sitting area in front of the wood-burning stove. At the other side of the central hall a larger sitting room welcomes you to relax and have cosy evenings in front of the second stove. A first shower room with toilet and washing machine you can find behind the staircase. At the first floor there are 4 bedrooms and a second bathroom. The attic is a work in progress, but can in the meantime be used to hang out the laundry in winter. Bedrooms: Garden room (back): 1 double bed (160 x 200 cm) Grand room (front left): 1 double bed (160 x 200 cm) Middle room (front middle): 1 double bed (140 x 200 cm) Youth room (front right): 1 single bed (120 x 190 cm), 1 bunkbed (sleeps 2: 90 x 200cm) The barn can be used to park 2 cars. We are available for any questions during your stay by phone, sms or email. Or our very very friendly (french speaking) neighbours are always willing to help, if necessary. Pierrefaites is situated in the beautiful Haute-Marne department. Nature and authentic small villages like Pierrefaites itself caracterise the region. The fortified town Langres (25 km) and the surroundings offer several cultural and recreative things to do (e.g. Lac de Liez for swimming an watersports). We are lucky that Pierrefaites still has a local bakery (mostly only bread) so getting your ‘baguette’ for breakfast is only a few steps away. All other groceries can be found in the nearby supermarket (6km). When you are interested in renting our home, we are happy to provide more (touristic) information on the region and on the house and to give you our personal list of places of interest. There are bikes at your disposal, but in our opinion, having a car is indispensable. The nearest train station is about 25km away (Culmont / Chalindrey). There is no other public transport. If wanted bedlinen can be provided (extra costs: 15€/bed), but we encourage you to bring your own linens and towels. Basic products for cooking (e.g. oil, salt, pepper, herbs, ...) are at your disposal. Soap and shampoo for personal hygiene you have to bring yourself. The garden is not completely fenced, so there is free access to the road. Don't hesitate to contact us in case of any questions.
