Solinde's Mill is a recovered water mill at Villanueva de la Peña, Cantabria, Spain, in the Valley of Ibio, 20 minutes away from the beach. The Cozy & Modern House, Solinde's Mill has two stories. On the ground floor, living room, kitchen, fireplace and 1st floor with 3 double bedrooms, bathroom. TV, internet and heating system. Integrated into a 6.5 ha. Farm, with a stream and waterfall that adjoins the river Saja, the house is located in a unique environment for walking and playing sports. Each house has its independent garden and access to a communal walk around the river only for guests. The location is magical, quiet and is surrounded by a small river and the river Saja. A forest is within a walking distance from the location and the main town Cabezon de la Sal is 5 to 10 minutes away by car. The beaches of Comillas and San Vicente de la Barquera are 15 to 20 minutes ride by car and Santander city is half an hour drive away. There is also a small rail station that connects with Santander and Cabezon de la Sal. Villanueva de la Peña is a small town that has its own shops in a 5 minutes walking distance. Guest can access shared spaces including, the old mill dinner, gardens and parking. Villanueva de la Peña is a lovely small town that has some shops in a walking distance such as a fruit and veg, a fishmonger, a butcher and a bar. If you come by plain the easiest way is via Santander. We recommend you to hire a car in the airport and come in a half an hour drive. If you prefere not to drive and take it easier and slower you can come by train from Santander City. There are buses from the airport and the train ride will take you to the town in 45 minutes. The house is in a 10-15 min walking distance from the train station. Ultimately we can arrange some transport options for you.
