Traditional Farmhouse in Boyne Valley
200 year old traditional farmhouse on a country lane 4 mile north of nearest town Drogheda. This house is ideal to get away from the busy thoroughfare. The neighbourhood is quiet and scenic. Comfortable, warm, easy parking At present- July 2020 - your host is adhering to the Republic of Ireland's 2 week isolation guidelines for travellers coming into the country. She is very happy to maintain Airbnb's cleaning advice and safety precautions making your stay safe, peaceful and memorable. The farmhouse contains an artists studio where your host works during the day. You are within a 2 to 13 mile radius to Monasterboice High Crosses, Clogherhead fishing village, Drogheda town and Brú na Bóinne visitor centre Bedroom, shared bathroom, garden and the family kitchen for breakfast Your host runs a weaver's studio, lives on the premises and is there to answer any questions or help organise your visit Within a ten mile radius you will find the Monasterboice Round Tower and High Crosses, Brú Na Bóinne Visitor Centre, Drogheda town and Clogherhead Fishing Village There is a lovely river walk from Drogheda town out to Oldbridge, Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre. The lane from the house is 500m a nice short walk after a long drive. The nearest public transport is Drogheda town with buses and trains on the hour to Dublin and surrounding areas. I highly recommend having a car as buses out to the house itself are very limited and a taxi costs approximately 15 euro each way into Drogheda town. At present the TV room is not available (July 2020) A car is essential as the house is 4 mile outside of the nearest town of Drogheda with fabulous tourist attractions and one of Ireland's longest beaches ten minutes drive from the house..
