Spacious retreat, 1 minute walk to beach

Whiritoa is a small village on the Coromandel Peninsular. The area is beautiful with bush walks, the sea (great for swimming or surfing), a lagoon which is great for the kids. Our Bach is spacious and can comfortably accommodate 10 people over 5 bedrooms. A great kitchen, two bathrooms, Deck and Lounge with TV, Internet and Chromecast - we have everything you need! There are ample facilities for adults but the house is also well prepared for younger family members with toys, games and even a pop-up cot. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher and everything else you need to make for a relaxing chill out at the beach. With a bathroom upstairs and down, washing machine and dryer in the laundry. There is some sports equipment so that you can go down the road to the tennis court or take a skateboard and ride the ramp at the park. There is a great kids playground just down at the surf club. Over summer the surf club is open in the evenings to go and meet the locals and have a drink. While you stay, the whole house it at your disposal. We are not there but are available on the phone or by the Air BnB chat app. The close knit local community are always there to help with anything visitors need. Whiritoa is a small village with an amazing surf beach running the length of the village. At the beach you can surf, swim or fish. You can also just walk along the beach and breath up the wonderful sea air! At either end of the beach there are walks through the forest (we call them walks 'over the hills', you will understand why when you are there!). At one end you walk to a breathtaking blow-hole (where waves flow in and sometimes explode out the top). At the other end you walk over a well maintained track to a small beach on the other side of the hill - great for a lunchtime picnic. In the village there no need to use your car, its all within walking distance. There is one (very nice little) shop which serves as cafe, ice-cream shop, hot food takeaway shop and grocery store - and there is the beach! You don't go to the beach to shop :) The best every way to start your day: wake up, after having a cup of coffee at home you can leisurely walk to the shop to buy the morning paper (and have a latte) and walk home via the beach to read the paper! Linen is provided for all beds at a fee of $10 per bed - we will contact you after booking to confirm beds required.
