Peregrine Hideaway
Nestled in the forest, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the South facing cabin fronts a footpath that leads out into the beautiful landscape. It is situated within our garden, with its own access so you are free to come and go as you please. It lends itself to quiet activities such as writing or similar. It is very peaceful and ideal for a quiet retreat from city life and an escape into nature. The main attraction is walking and/or mountain biking. The cabin is compact with a kitchenette for food preparation. With fridge combi oven/microwave, gas hob and cooking pots, utensils etc. A shower room with basin toilet and shower cubicle. The rest of the space is open for the sleeping area and sitting area. There is a standard double bed. Two easy chairs. There is a fold-out table for dining and two stools. An efficient wood burning stove will keep you warm in winter. You have your own outside sitting area in our garden with stunning views out into the forest. We also have a friendly dog Amber who might like to join you there if this is acceptable to you, if not we will keep her away. Parking is next to the cabin on the road. Which is at the end of a cul-de-sac, so there is no passing traffic. However, the local people use this road to access the paths into the forest which start 10 meters from our gate. We are near the local bus route, 10 minutes from the local shop and 2 miles to Cinderford. I work at home so if requested I will be happy to advise on some beautiful local walking areas. Can lend OS maps. I can pick up walkers by arrangement within 5 mile radius.... phone contact permitting! I am around during the day should you need anything. There are a vast array of attractions in the forest some of which include Clearwell caves, historical mines, steam railways, Puzzlewood forest, the Wye Valley, castles. abbeys. the famous Sculpture Trail. Speech House, arboretums. Also activity centers such as Go Ape, bike hire. cannoing, on the Wye river.
