Hololio House - Country Comfort in Clevedon

Look out over the world-class Hololio polo grounds from the veranda of this 1892-vintage Kauri homestead, and while preparing a BBQ. Set in the middle of a working farm, there's plenty of room inside and out, plus a shared solar-heated pool. Perfect for wedding groups, there is perfect light for makeup in the South facing linen room, and charming photo locations in and around the house. The adjacent Poolhouse is also available for booking, for extended celebrations with family and friends. Walk to the Clevedon Village Farmers' Market, explore several excellent restaurants, and walk the Hololio Farm river trails. Situated on the Wairoa River, Clevedon is still home to many descendants of the original mid-19th-century settlers. You will have the whole house, including laundry, verandah, BBQ and rural surrounds. You are welcome to use our solar heated pool, which is a beautiful 120m walk away. We live in our own cottage, 100m away with two teenage children and three dogs. You are welcome to use our pool (not our poolhouse, except by prior arrangement). We are happy to take you for a Trails and Trees tour of our beautiful 200 acre, river side property by arrangement. Otherwise, Uber and taxis are available and there is a good train service from Papakura to Auckland, 15 minutes away. Shopping at Papakura, Takanini or Botany and the ferry to Auckland at Pine Harbour, a 20 minute drive. Please note there is a minimum two nights in January and February. Also, We have three dogs - two working dogs and a Labrador. They are all friendly, perhaps overly so....
