South Lakeland family house in the village of Milnthorpe set at the top of the Morecambe Bay estuary. The village has a lovely park, home to a herd of fallow deer, where you can enjoy a view of the Lakeland hills. The river Bela winds it's way through the park to the estuary and out to the Morcambe Bay. Easy access to the Lake District National Park. Bowness (28mins). Excellent location for Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve (15mins) and outdoor activities: walking, fishing, cycling. A spacious three bedroom house on a residential estate with a new bathroom, kitchen and utility/boot room. The house offers an ideal space for families or groups of friend chosen to be part of your 'friendship bubble' to enjoy a staycation, or for people wanting a work-from- home alternative. We are committed to Airbnb's cleaning protocol and have put in place extensive routines for cleaning and sanitising frequently touched surfaces between guests. We aim to keep yourselves, our cleaners and the area clean and safe. There are steps to the front of the house and to the garden. The village has a range of shops and amenities: good quality supermarket, award winning butchers, newspaper/post office, pubs and take ways, a playing field and park. M6 motorway (7 mins). Guests will have use of the whole house and garden. Children should be supervised when playing in the garden. Easily check yourself in using the key safe. There is information in the house and suggestions of places to visit and things to do in the area. Any further contact will be by phone or email. The village is a working village suited to people who love to be out in the countryside. There are boundless places to ramble and explore. Silverdale and Arnside are designated areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the area is famous for its amazing wildlife, stunning scenery and wonderful walks. The coastal area from Silverdale around to the Kent Estuary in Milnthorpe is impressive. The hillsides have stunning limestone pavements, ancient woodlands and beautiful flower meadows. The estuary is home to many birds: oystercatchers, cerlews, bitten. Leighton Moss also has frequent sightings of marsh harrier. The historic county town of Kendal nearby has a host of shops, restaurants and pubs as well as the Brewery Arts Centre and theatre and Abbot Hall with exhibitions. Arnside has a wonderful pub with views over the estuary to the Lakeland fells, perfect for watching the sunset. The village is on the boarders of The Lake District National Park and the superb mountains and lakes. Traveling by public transport take the West Coast Mainline railway to Oxenholme. It is advisable to book a taxi in advance to take you to the village. There is a bus every hour from the village to take you into the Lake District National Park. Check the timetable in the village. It is a slow route but a beautiful journey. Alternatively you could get a bus to Carnforth Station and a train around the coastline. Check out the times and destinations. There are no parking restrictions on the street however, it may not always be possible to park directly in front of the house.
