Manor Farmhouse Cottage, Cornwall

Approached down a leafy track in a peaceful traffic free environment, amidst rolling countryside studded with ancient mines, hidden creeks and villages, the location offers an idyllic hideaway but central to explore all of Cornwall which makes Manor Farmhouse Cottage a great base. We provide adult bikes to explore the coast-to-coast cycle trail. The village of St Day is within walking distance and provides village amenities and 2 pubs. Chacewater is just over a mile with a further pub. Our pretty white washed cottage attached to our Farmhouse provides very comfortable accommodation. There is off road parking, a courtyard area & use of a private garden area with washing facilities. Leading off the hallway is the downstairs shower room (no bath), the lounge with a variety of home entertainment including PlayStation and DVD with DVD library. The music system has an iPod docking facility. A galleried main bedroom has a magnificent king size bed and has ample room for a cot (supplied without linen). The third doorway from the hall leads to a well equipped country kitchen which in turn leads to a beautiful vaulted dining room which is big enough to change the day bed into 2 singles whilst still affording adequate dining space. All linen is provided. This is a private self-contained cottage attached to our Farmhouse. Both Murray & I work shift work but are available as much as possible to assist with anything our guests require Manor Farmhouse Cottage is situated in a small hamlet, tucked away but in a central location giving the convenience to explore easily but the peacefulness of country living (unless you get annoyed with the owls!) We feel it is best to have a car if you stay with us as Cornwall is not known fir great transport links! We are on a bus route but the frequency of buses has just been reduced which is disappointing! We do have children born in 2007 (Holly) & 2008 (Aidan) but they are well trained & love other children visiting, as do our 2 very lovable, well behaved sprockers! We also have circa 24 chickens (Holly’s hens!) which give us all scrummy eggs! Please also note that during the holiday season, bookings are from Saturday to a Saturday and will be charged for 7 nights even if staying for less.
