Our privately owned chalet "The Bungi" is set on the quiet and peaceful Galmpton Holiday Park overlooking the River Dart in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty which is under coastal preservation. The chalets are set in attractive peaceful communal grounds. The Bungi are set away from the road. We have an allocated car park space, and there is an additional overflow car park. Whilst The Bungi is suitable for those with reduced mobility the size of the bathroom and doorways means that it is not suitable for wheelchairs. Corononvirus.......We are following the Government's Guidelines as they are updated. We are taking provisional bookings for later in this year and next year when we all hope things will be more normal. In the meantime Stay Alert.... 🌈 The raised patio at the front of the property is approached by 2 steps and is the perfect area to dine whilst watching the amazing sunsets over the river. The site is peaceful and has No Entertainment or Children's Play Areas. It is situated in the beautiful village of Galmpton which has local shops and a dog friendly pub, serving good food and Real Ales, all within walking distance. Its an ideal location to explore Torbay and South Hams beautiful surrounding coast and countryside. Some of the local attractions include: Agatha Christie's former home 'Greenway', now a National Trust property and only 1 mile away down the lane. The River Dart, Dartmouth, Totnes, South Hams coast are all available to travel to by ferry, steam train, open topped bus and car. Torquay, Paignton, Babbacombe, Brixham and Dartmoor with all its rugged beauty are only a short drive away. The closest of many beaches are Broadsands only 5 minutes drive from the village or walk if you're feeling fit and Goodrington beach only 10 minutes drive. There are many Golf courses in the area the closest being Churston, which again is only 5 minutes away by car. Well behaved dogs of small/medium size are more than welcome Free of charge.
