Set in Nethy Bridge village this lovely house is within minutes walk of the ancient Abernethy Forest and the River Nethy with its delightful river walk. Nethy is in the heart of Cairngorms National Park - a perfect location to explore and adventure or enjoy the tranquility and birdlife of our private garden and wildlife in nearby pine forest walks. Craigenlea is a lovely, comfortable well equipped house with one double and one twin bedroom, a dining room with seating for eight and high chair, a well equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, bathroom with bath and shower over, and a delightful sitting room with log burning stove, (lots of logs in the shed!),and windows on three sides overlooking the private garden. TV with FreeSat, WiFi, The garden is enclosed with garden dining furniture and seating bench. Craigenlea is located off a quiet road and has private parking on the drive for two cars. The garden is secure for both children and dogs and there is a lockable shed for bike and snow gear storage - the garden furniture is stored here too. Nethy is a delightful village by the River Nethy and ancient Abernethy Forest - here are the activities nearby! * well stocked village shop and a farm/deli shop * pub and bar food at nearby Nethybridge Hotel * good food and delicious cakes at Nethy Cafe * children's play park * tennis courts - pay as you go- (bring your own rackets) * local golf course - visitors welcome * forest, river and village walks and bike tracks * fishing on nearby River Spey (permit required) Within a few miles. * There is a very good water sports centre at Loch Morlich and at Loch Insch - canoeing, sailing and lots more! * Skiing in the Cairngorms ski range or take the funicular railway to the top! * Visit the reindeer herd at nearby Glenmore * Speyside Whisky Trail * Steam railway to Aviemore from nearby Boat of Garten * Osprey Centre at Loch Garten * The town of Aviemore with a good variety of shops and cinema. * Swimming pools at Macdonald Resort and Hilton Coylumbridge * Landmark Forest Adventure Park in Carrbridge (10 miles) This is a great biking, walking, and birdwatching area. There are a few buses each day to Aviemore (10 miles) and Grantown-on-Spey (5 miles). There is a railway link from Aviemore and Carrbridge to Inverness in the North and South to the rest of the country! There are also many bike tracks and access to the Speyside Way.
