On Island Time Cottage

ON ISLAND TIME COTTAGE *PLEASE NOTE...rents from Saturday to Saturday Drive to your island retreat! Located on Orrs Island and within walking distance to the library, restaurants, nature preserves and 3 beaches. You will have views of the great Atlantic Ocean with easy access for water activities. Children will enjoy the open space to play and explore in an off road,  safe location. Your outdoor sitting area offers a water view and two minute walk to one of the beaches. No smoking on property The house is a two-story home with 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath on the second floor. It has an open concept living room/kitchen combination and a three-quarter bathroom with a shower, washer and dryer on the first floor. The house has a small back entry porch. It also has a front deck sitting area. The fire pit area overlooks the ocean. I am including the use of two kayaks for your enjoyment. No smoking allowed. No pets. Guests have access to the whole Cottage and plenty of parking . They have beach access from the cottage by walking a short distance to three different points. There is a fire pit area, a large lawn space , and a deck that is accessible to the guests.Ther is also a small back porch entry area. There is a limited locked storage area beneath the cottage for kayaks if one needs to store something like that. I live in a separate home on the same property. My guests will have all the privacy they need but I will be nearby if they need something or if they have an emergency of some kind. Like most places in Maine you have a nice mix of space around you. This is a working, fishing community as well as a tourist area and they co-exist rather nicely. You have the opportunity to get to know the neighbors or you can choose to enjoy your own space. It is a rather quiet location other than the Fourth of July fireworks and special occasions like that. There is no public transportation in Harpswell at this time. Summer rentals are weekly (Saturday to Saturday) during the months of May - August.
