Situated in the Jura, the foothills of the Alps, 35 mn from Beaune and Dijon ,the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, the chateau de Parthey has been in the same family since the Middle age. For lovers of art and "Douceur de Vivre" , visit middle age villages, ,bicycle along the" Rhone Rhine" canal,, or taste the most celebrated burgundy wines and 'stars chef' cuisine, paddle and hikes along trails celebrated by Courbet and Corot, the activities are endless. High ceilings, monumental mantles,stone walls and bright bedrooms adds grace to this officially classified historical monument [M.H] the house is for the guests .they have access to everything except our private apartment. few rooms are locked for safety concern. We usually act as a guide for travelers. We occupy an apartment on the premises. You may want the house for yourself and be totally independent or upon your wishes we will guide you on private visits of the surrounding areas. There are fresh markets in downtown Dole (10 mins), a 16th -18th century gorgeous town, with pastry , clothing shops and restaurants galore, [the downtown is for pedestrians only]. The river Doubs meanders in the middle ,you can rent a boat for promenades. . Bike trails along the canal, directly connect our land to the town.O our park was designed in the English fashion with great expenses of lawn ,,magnificent trees ,woods and green pastures,great for jogging. it is best to rent a car if you want to visit at your own pace -Trains are very convenient to Dijon, Beaune, Paris .
