Access to Limpinwood Gardens Nursery where your hosts live just next door, walking tracks on the 70acres, hectares of gardens, Camellias gardens in flower from May to August. Native birds abound, wallabies with joeys in pouch graze around the cottag 'Finches Cottage' - Set on 12 acres amongst beautiful gardens. No close neighbours, only cottage on site. Great views, always a breeze, watching the birds and wallabies. Finches Cottage is a stand alone cottage on a 5 hectare block. There are no close neighbours, as we live on the block next door. It is situated at the top of the property with terrific views, you can access this whole property plus visit our Nursery on the property next door. There are extensive walking paths on both of these properties and hectares of gardens to explore. Birds and Wallabies abound, and can be seen regularly while sitting on the covered deck or moving around the property. Your hosts Sharon & Russell are happy to discuss your needs and advise you on the local attractions. Apart from the hectares at Finches Cottage you have full access to our 80 acre next door property. There are walks set out for you over this property. Our property is ideally suited to Mountain Bikes, lots of trails to follow. We back onto Limpinwood Nature Reserve, listed as World Heritage. You are welcome to visit our nursery property which adjoins and view a full working nursery and explore our hectares of gardens. There is fossicking in Finches Creek that meanders through the property, and when the creek is flowing well there is a fabulous 'natural spa' that you can enjoy. Russell is also a photographer. Sharon and Russell also run 'Rock On Designs', where they specialise in photography of semi precious gemstones. Sharon produces wall art, and different products using these pictures. We also have a full print set up, and we can print any of your pictures while you are visiting on up to 42" size. We can also print onto mugs, coasters, tshirts, mousepads, and other products that we have in stock and you can also choose to have some of your own pics reproduced on these products. Just talk to Sharon about your needs when you book. We also collect, cut and polish thundereggs and agates and you are welcome to make a time to visit us to see these. Finches Cottage' is situated in the middle of the Limpinwood Valley in NE NSW. The 360 degree views of the world heritage listed Border Ranges National Park are simply stunning. Whether clear blue skies, clouds spilling over the top like snow or sunbeams late in the afternoon the changing view will entrance you. Sit on the deck and here Finches Creek babbling along, swim in its cool waters of enjoy a 'Natural Spa'. Fossick in the creek well known for its jaspers, chalcedaney and agates. Rainbow fish abound and can easily been seen in the clear mountain water with its headwaters in the National Park. The only cottage on site, simply enjoy the peace & quite or explore the many sites at Limpinwood Garden Stay. The hectares of native gardens are alive with a huge variety of flowers, birds and wildlife. Wallabies graze in the paddocks surrounding the cottage. Fabulous panoramic views are ideal for the keen photographer. Bushwalking is available throughout the 80 hectare property. You can do a round trip from cottage to back of propery where staghorns, elkhorns, crows nests and native ordchids occur naturally on the huge rhylite boulders on our property along which borders the Limpinwood Nature Reserve. 'Finches Cottage' is ideally suited for couples with a Queen bed in the main bedroom. The smaller bedroom has a trundle bed to suit 2 children or 2 extra adults (see pricing structure). Well behaved dogs are also welcome to stay at 'Finches Cottage' by advanced arrangement and will thoroughly enjoy frolicking in the paddocks. Only 5 minutes to Country Pub and Cafes at Tyalgum and Chillingham. Only 35 minutes from Tweed Beaches. Just off the tourist route for scenic drives around the Tweed. 25 minutes to Mt Warning National Park. 15 minutes to the Natural Bridge in the Springbrook National Park. 50 minutes to Byron Bay.
