Perched atop a quaint hill, The Mudhouse is surrounded by the spectacular landscapes of Sahayadri, offering an epic panorama of the valley of Marayoor. Close to the treasured Sandalwood forest and Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. Here, time moves unhurriedly, slowly painting the sky a different hue each passing hour. The eco-friendly constructed cottages and treehouse reflect barefoot luxury, helping you stay rooted to Earth but still be close to Heaven. The Mudhouse Marayoor has 4 Mud Houses and a Treehouse. We can host a maximum of 14 adults at the 1.5 acre property. This listing allows you to reserve two adjoined cottages that can host up to 6 adults. The cottages share a common lawn and has its own private area away from the rest of the guests. The lawn features a comfortable gazebo where you can play games, have tea or relax in the evenings. Please note that our kitchen and dining area are common spaces where all guests can visit. A large Independent eco-friendly hut that one can opt for (Sorry, we just don’t want to be another commercial resort) but we know how much you love your internet, so its free WIFI and Breakfast is included. I don't stay at the property, however we visit here often. I will be available 24/7 on phone for all your support. So please don't hesitate to contact me in case you need any assistance. Visit us to have a slow vacation. Spend your days lazing, watching the mist hovering over the mountains. On a warm day, watch the birds roaming the skies and life springing up all around you. A 10 minutes hike from the property through a forest trail will take you to a view point from where one can enjoy a 360 degree view of the agricultural valley of Marayoor. Explore the wilderness and even catch a glimpse of deers and bison grazing. A 40 minutes hike from the property beside a canal will take you to a river hidden in the forest. Take your book or even have a picnic (without littering ofcourse). One can also take a dip in the crystal like water and fall in love with the peacefulness of it all. In the evening, ride through the village on the cycles provided at the property. If you're late, you might even get a glimpse of a swarm (sparkle) of fireflies in the fields nearby. For those wishing to just stay and laze at our property, we have a tiny collection of books and board games that you can peruse at your convenience. Thoovanam waterfalls, a stunning cascade inside Chinnar wildlife sanctuary is just 20 minutes away from the property. Go on a drive to visit Anamudi Peak, Chinnar or the centuries old, Muniyara. We can help with arranging cabs or autos for sightseeing. We are connected with public transports.. When traveling from South Kerala Side, you have to come Via Munnar-Marayoor. There are a lot of Buses connecting Munnar from Cochin and around. From Munnar, There are buses to Marayoor and we are located just 15 mins away from Marayoor. When you travel from other part of region, The closeby airport is Coimbatore. We are exactly 3 hours drive away from coimbatore through Udumalaipet and Beautiful Chinnar Wild Life Sanctuary. Udumalaipet is a transport hub and also has a railway station. There are plenty of buses from Udumalaipet to Marayoor. Sorry, this place won't suit if you're looking for large group gatherings or a party destination. We love our tranquillity, take great pride being eco-friendly (We tried our maximum to maintain so), respect our nature and its inhabitants.
