7 BR, 5 BA: 15 Miles to Midtown NYC (Private Pool)

The best of both worlds: 15 miles from Midtown Manhattan and Grand Central. An easy train (metro north) ride or drive to the city on a secluded acre in a family focused neighborhood close to parks and great restaurants. Approved pets welcome. This is a place for you to stay with your entire family (even extended friends and family, if you like) while having access to New York City with only a 30-minute train ride. Our fully air-conditioned 7 bedroom home sits on a tree-filled acre of land making it feel more like a country home upstate when in fact it is just 15 miles to Midtown Manhattan. Here is a quick breakdown of the rooms: 2nd floor: (3 full bathrooms - 2 in bedrooms, 1 off the hall between bedroom bath only, no shower) - Bedroom 1: 1 king Tempurpedic bed - currently configured as a guest room (has a full bathroom) - Bedroom 2: 1 king Tempurpedic bed - Bedroom 3: 1 sofa - we use this room as our changing room and a second-floor family room, but can easily accommodate a queen air mattress (has a private bathroom) - Bedroom 4: 1 full bed, but can be accommodated with a changing table and crib. - Bedroom 5: Daughters' room - has a bunk bed. 3rd floor: (toilet and shower) - Bedroom 6: 1 very large room with 2 couches and 2 queen-size Tempurpedic beds. - Bedroom 7: 1 smaller room with a queen size Tempurpedic bed/ (This is our au pair's room, so unless you have a very large group that requires all 7 bedrooms, this room will likely be closed off.) 1st floor: (toilet and shower) We open the pool in late-May or early-June, dependent on weather. Let us know if that is a feature you are looking for so we can confirm it will be ready for you to use. The pool is not heated but feels great in the summertime. You will have full access to a quiet acre, pool (summer months), swing set, playhouse, plenty of parking, not to mention New York City a 30-minute train ride away. If you're renting from us, you will have the entire house to yourself. However it is likely that various individuals will come by to handle cleaning (1-2x weekly, but we can cancel if you prefer) plus mowing (once per week on Friday or Saturdays) and pool maintenance (early Saturday morning). We love our beautiful neighborhood. It is filled full of beautiful old trees and 100 year old victorian and tudor homes. The neighborhood is within walking distance to parks and restaurants. The New Rochelle Metro North and Amtrak station is 1 mile away. It can take you to Grand Central Terminal in 30 minutes. To and from the airport - UberX / Cab: JFK is about $75 / 90. LGA is about $60 / 75. You're going to love it here. You have everything you need and more to have a great stay near New York City. We live here full time, so when you're here we need to make arrangements to be elsewhere. This means that in some circumstances even the minimum stay doesn't make sense for us. But please feel free to ask questions. We want to be accommodating and are happy to have a candid conversation about what you need and when (even if it is marked on the calendar as unavailable). We receive many inquiries about large parties like weddings and reunions (non-overnight guests). Unfortunately, our first attempt at this resulted in damage, so we now limit reservations to 16 guests total, including visitors. There are three full bathrooms with showers, one with a tub and hand shower (typically used for children), and one with a full tub/shower combination.
