This beautiful and authentic 17th century farmhouse still stands in the heart of Burgundy today. Located in Sercy, a small village in Burgundy, The house has a large courtyard and garden, and is surrounded by a beautiful pasturage. It is equipped with all the modern comfort you will need inside: Ground floor: Large livingspace with a fully equiped open kitchen (fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher). Television and wifi. Also located on the ground floor: 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a private bathroom. First floor: Two very large bedrooms with 1 shared bathroom. Bedroom 1: sleeps 2, with a double bed. Bedroom 2: sleeps 5, with 1 queen size bed, 1 double bed, 1 twin bed Surroundings/sightseeing: within a mile you will find a supermarket, bank, post office, shops, restaurants, bicycle rental place, as well as a bicycle path called "voie verte" that offers 30 miles of cycling through beautiful vineyards and villages. The entire area is surrounded by great hiking trails through the hills. On Sundays, most of the surrounding villages host fleemarkets and antique markets, as well as large food markets where you will find amazing local products such as cheeses, meats, and wines. Transportation/Acessibility: You are in the countryside, therefore you will need a car to get around. You will find multiple historical landmarks in the area; Cluny, the Tournus cathedral, the prehistorical caves of Azé, the Brancion Citadel, Roche de Solutré, hospices de Beaune, and old roman towns. The ecumenical community of Taizé is only 10 km (6 Miles) away. Dining/Wining: There are lots of restaurants in the area, including Michelin star rated ones in the town of Tournus only 15 Km (9 miles) away. Sercy is located between the "Maconnais" and "Chalonais" vineyards.
