The Arches is a cosy, modern detached cottage five minutes walk from the centre of the historic County Town of Montgomery. Fully equipped for a relaxing family getaway, we also provide a travel cot, highchair, baby bath and change mat. There are children's games, toys, puzzles, with books and DVDs for all the family. The Arches is the perfect springboard for exploring the stunning Border countryside by road, foot or bicycle, and is within easy reach of the beautiful Mid-Wales coast. On request we will provide a welcome hamper of essential provisions, including milk and bread. The whole property living space, front drive for off road parking, and enclosed back garden is available for guest access. We will leave details of how you can contact us and 'what's on' in the local area in your welcome pack. Situated in the town conservation area, The Arches is within walking distance of Montgomery Castle, St Nicholas' Church in Wales and Monty's Brewery visitor centre. A Spar grocery, The Little Gallery, Bunner's Emporium, The Ivy House cafe, The Checkers Pantry and The Dragon Hotel with Bistro are all located in the town centre, 5 minutes walk away. The market town of Welshpool is 7 miles away, with Newtown a similar distance in the opposite direction. Situated on the English/Welsh border, Montgomery is the ideal base for exploring the scenic beauty of the Welsh Marches. Off road parking for up to 3 vehicles and a safe lock up for bicycles. There are buses to Newtown, Welshpool and Shrewsbury and many easy local walks accessible from the house.
