Smell the baguettes and croissants baking in the morning and hear the crack of iron balls as the daily game of petanque gets started in the village square. There is lots to see and do in the area. Taste the local wine and Armagnac. Visit the many beautiful medieval villages nearby. Dine in a French bistro or restaurant. Walk freely amongst the vines or in the forest. A country market comes to the centre of the village on Thursdays and Sunday mornings. Enjoy watching the passing parade from one of the bar/bistros facing onto the square. You can be as private as you want to be - or you can get in touch with us whenever you like by simply walking around the corner. Mezin is a medieval village in SW France. The area is known as Gascony - renoun for its food, markets and restaurants - and home of the famous Three Musketeers. There are several bar/bistros in the village as well as the usual small grocery shops, bakeries and a pharmacy. The locals are very friendly country people. There is lots to see and in the area including many swimming options. Walk freely in the forest or amongst the vines. Taste wine & Armagnac. Shop at day and night markets. Visit numerous beautiful medieval villages - several officially listed as "One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France". Plenty of great French restaurants to choose from in the area. A car is essential to get the most out of your stay at La Petite Galerie in Gascony SW France. Guests can hire cars at Bordeaux or Toulouse airports (both about 2 hours drive from Mezin) - or at Agen train station where the drive to La Petite Galerie is about 40 minutes.
