The Porch Side is a self-contained private entry room off the South side of our verandah. Amenities include air conditioning, ceiling fan, linen, towels, TV, Wi-Fi and a wee kitchenette consisting of a mini fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster, crockery and cutlery. Coffee, tea, milo ,milk and biscuits are provided and fresh tank water is refrigerated for you. The room has a Queen size bed with an extra doona available if needed. Retreat to Heathcote ~ Victoria’s Heartland! A minutes drive from the centre of town, or a 12 minute stroll. Our property is just over an acre set amongst bush land and forest with an array of plants and wildlife to enjoy. You are most welcome to wander around and see why we love it so much here. Heathcote is just over an hours drive north of Melbourne. Nestled beneath Mt Ida and the McHarg & McIvor Ranges lay the quaint town. With a brewery, distillery and bunch of wineries to check out. There are several eateries from bakeries to cafes, fish ‘n’ chip shops to pizza joints, pubs to restaurants. Explore breathtaking landscapes and amazing night skies in the Great Outdoors. Think picnics, hikes, trail on and off road rides. Boating, fishing and swimming at nearby Lake Eppalock. Many historical gold rush relic sites to take in. Throughout the year, you will find spectacular events and festivals offering the chance to meet the locals and taste the local produce. We have recently set up a Basketball court on the North side of the property, between daylight hours you may hear the bounce of the ball. You are welcome to join in at any time.
