Sunset Hideaway - Pool / BBQ area / Backyard

We’d like to welcome you to our Sunset Hideaway for a weekend trip or a family holiday. Sunset Hideaway is the perfect escape whether you’re looking for your next outdoor adventure or just want to relax by the pool and enjoy a gorgeous sunset. The fully furnished private flat gives access to a large outdoor area from which you can take in the great bush views while enjoying a BBQ. The kids will be entertained for hours in the pool, on the trampoline or swings. This beautiful furnished flat is on the lower level of a split-level house. The flat consists of a large bedroom with a queen-size bed with a built-in wardrobe, a full bathroom (toilet, hand basin and shower) and a spacious open plan dining/living area with kitchenette. The living room has a TV and sofa bed that converts into a double bed. There is plenty of storage space throughout the flat. The sliding doors of the flat give access to a large outdoor covered area, with lounge and BBQ area, overlooking the backyard with swimming pool, swing set and trampoline. There is separate guest access along the side of the home, which requires to take a concrete ramp and stairs. No smoking and no pets. This is not a party house & respect to our neighbours is required Guest will have their own private flat and access to the backyard including the pool and BBQ area. The owner might however access the backyard and pool area for maintenance. We've been living and exploring the area for a number of years now and are more than happy to give advice for bush walks, places to visit or to eat. The flat is located in Helensburgh, a small town in New South Wales, Australia. Helensburgh is located about 60 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district and 35 kilometres north of Wollongong. Helensburgh marks the northern end of the Illawarra region and is at the southern end of the Royal National Park. This flat is surrounded by bushland and adjacent the Garawarra State Conservation Area. It is located in a no through road in a quiet part of town. The flat is ideally located to explore the surrounding area, whether you enjoy city, bush or beach. There are multiple bushwalking and mountain bike trails starting right outside the flat. The Helensburgh train and bus station is only 500m away and will give you easy access to Sydney CBD (50 min), Wollongong (35 min) or Kiama (1.5h). Only a short drive to beautiful and serene beaches with rockpools (10 min drive) or the Royal National Park (15 min drive). Helensburgh town centre has everything you need: supermarket, pubs, shops, cafes, swimming pool and playgrounds. A must visit when coming to Helensburgh are: - Symbio Wildlife Park, where visitors can get up close and personal to all their Australian and exotic animal favourites - The Sri Venkatesware Temple including the canteen, famous for its fresh and tasty Indian cuisine - Bald Hill lookout where you can enjoy the spectacular view over the Seacliff bridge or watch the hang gliders A visitor information folder is available in the flat, which includes information on local restaurants and shops. As well as suggestions for exploring the surrounding area: bush walks, bike trails, lookouts, rock pools, visitor centre locations.
