Villa Bridler Guesthouse

SOCIAL DISTANCING COMPATIBLE: totally separate apartment, no physical interaction necessary! The apartment is located on the 1st floor of the former carriage house of Villa Bridler. One separate bedroom and the living/dining area, modern and comfortable on 50 sqm. A small kitchenette, shower/toilet, twin bed and TV in the bedroom, living/dining room with sleeping couch (140cm). An extra bed is possible in the bedroom. The apartment has a separate private entrance. The carriage house was built in the 1920s and completely renovated in 2005. The hardwood floor is made of 100-year old floorboards. The ceiling is open, revealing wooden beams. Thanks to several dormer windows, the space is light and airy. The furniture is high quality; some USM sideboards mixed with antique wooden cabinets, tables and chairs. Sofabed and double bed are very comfortable (double bed with 2 separate matresses). The entire apartment is for your own exclusive use. We live in the main house, so privacy is guaranteed while we are available if needed. In Winterthur's most beautiful residential neighbourhood, just 10 minutes on foot from the old town. Grocery stores, post office and restaurants are a few minutes' walk away. The nearest bus station is 150m, bus no. 1 takes you to the main station in just under 5 minutes. From there it is another 15 minutes by train to Zurich. For example, you can be at Lake Zurich or at the Zurich Opera in less than 30 minutes! But Winterthur has quite a bit to offer as well. The art museums are world famous, as is the centre of photography (Fotomuseum, 10 minutes on foot). For sports fans, you must check out Skills Park, the largest indoor skating/BMX and trampoline training ground in Europe that is open to the public. Bus number 1 takes you there as well... The recently opened Win4 sports arena is only half a kilometer from Villa Bridler. Bus 100m, train station 1.5km, grocery shoppng 500m, pool 500m, museums in walking distance. Zurich Airport is easily reachable by bus and train in approx. 30 minutes (faster and much less costly than taking a taxi!). Parking space can be rented for CHF 5.- per day. The old wooden floorboards, the view of the roof rafters and the good quality furnishing ensure a good atmosphere.
