Modern apartment, home from home

Our little slice of paradise is in the popular suburb of Whalers Gate - just a short drive from town and five minutes drive from the nearest beach. The apartment is downstairs from our family home, amid a lush garden and a busy vegetable patch! The apartment is under our family home. It has it's own access and is completely self contained. The apartment is self-contained, with own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom (en-suite) and living area. There is a small outdoor area with patio furniture directly in front of the apartment. We will be available to help with any questions or assistance during your stay, if you need us! Whalers Gate is a popular suburb on the Western side of New Plymouth - perfect for exploring the coast and surf beaches of Taranaki whilst still near to the city centre. Ten minutes drive from New Plymouth CBD, five minutes drive to Back Beach. Short drive/walk to Countdown Supermarket and Westown shops/cafes. Popular Barrett Domain is a short walk away. Please note, we have a dog (an energetic vizsla named Trigger) who lives upstairs. He roams the garden and will happily come and visit you! As our family home is above the apartment, please be aware there can be noise disturbance however this very rarely causes an issue. Also, the bathroom is accessed from the main bedroom so please take this into consideration if you have guests using the sofa bed. We have recently built a garage immediately in front of our home and new driveway. We are yet to build a new porch and front access. The building work does not impact on the apartment but just a word of warning that the presentation of our front garden is temporarily not to a high standard! Finally we are currently (May 2021) experiencing issues with Ultrafast broadband which is causing very occasionally our WIFI to cut out. Please note we cannot guarantee a 100% connection at present.
