Courtyard Cottage is a one bedroom self contained hideaway for those seeking the tranquility of a stay in this small village in the heart of mid Devon. The accommodation is part of Grade ll listed historic farmhouse but has its own entrance, front door and a courtyard which afford privacy from the main house. It is well placed for those who enjoy long, leisurely walks taking in the breathtaking scenery with no need to drive or sitting in the orchard deliciously doing nothing. Downstairs living area with kitchen area, dining table and sofa. Mezzanine bedroom with king sized bed which can be made into two singles on request. Dressing table, chest of drawers, wardrobe. En-suite shower room. Parking is at the back of the property in a spacious rear yard. If travelling by bicycle or motorcycle secure parking is available on request. We live in the main house so available most of the time for enquiries, help or suggested visits and information. We are set in a small village of 19 dwellings and a beautiful small church which is many hundreds of years old. Farmland surrounds us and the views from the gardens of the property are of wonderful unspoiled countryside. Walks can be taken from the front door whether you prefer to walk along the lanes, through the fields (where permitted) or in woodlands. If you wish to walk for most of the day or simply wander down the lane to stand on the bridge and play Pooh Sticks into the River Creedy and hope to see the resident otters the choice is yours and easily accessible. Please be aware that the property is not suitable for persons with mobility difficulties due to steps and uneven surfaces.
