Plumtree Cottage sits in a beautiful conservation village on the slopes of The Eildon Hills. A double and twin room are offered with access to a modern shower room, cosy snug and farmhouse kitchen where a Continental breakfast will be available. We're offering a double bedroom with a modern shower room which may also be used by occupants of a twin room and the occasional house guest Apart from the bedroom and shower room guests can use the snug, the spacious kitchen and best of all the deck. We'll give you a warm welcome and a cuppa, be around if you need anything and occasionally share the snug with you. We'll show you the options for a Continental breakfast and tell you the great places to explore, even the lesser known off-track places such as Fatlips Castle and where to find the key to Peinel Heugh .. This conservation village is almost picture postcard but real. The village common leads up to The Eildon Hills with some of the best views in Southern Scotland. But if you're feeling lazy just sit on the deck with a cuppa to take in the vistas.. A bus called the Weaver does what it says on the tin. It weaves its way through local villages to the rail terminus at Tweedbank, Sir Walter Scott's Abbotsford and the transport hub at Galashiels with frequent rail and bus connections to the Borders towns or Scotland's capital Edinburgh. Plumtree Cottage us on the St. Cuthbert's Way walking route which starts at nearby Melrose and winds its way through rolling countryside to Holy Island off the coast of Northumberland.
