Balnarring - private, tranquil, self-contained

Kookaburra Cottage - Private and tranquil, self-contained accommodation in beautiful Balnarring, set amidst a natural bush garden, close to all the wonderful beaches, golf courses, wineries, restaurants and cafes of the Mornington Peninsula. Our accommodation is completely separate from the main house with its own entry. It is very peaceful and private, down a long driveway. There are three rooms: one bedroom, one bathroom, and substantial lounge/dining with a kitchenette. The bedroom has a queen bed, and there is a comfy sofa in the living area. Cleaning - We have committed to the Airbnb Cleaning Protocol. We also leave a gap of at least one day between bookings to ensure the cottage is cleaned thoroughly between guests. BBQ area - There is a barbecue area with BBQ, a table and chairs, and an umbrella. Leisure - Wi-Fi, Chromecast, 40" HD LCD TV (with HDMI and USB connections), DVD player in the back of the TV, games, lots of books, and children's activities! Ethernet connection can be made available if required. Kitchen facilities - There is a small fridge with a freezer compartment, a kettle, toaster, microwave, sandwich maker, omelet maker, and mini oven. There is no cooktop or oven, but there is an undercover BBQ. Dishes, cutlery, glasses, corkscrew, salad bowls, cheese board, and cooking utensils provided. Infants - We can provide a high chair, portacot, and even a pram if required. Extras A choice of breakfast cereals. Tea, coffee, and drinking chocolate. Jam, Vegemite, sugar, salt and pepper Picnic set and picnic blanket provided First Aid Kit in the pantry Bathroom - Spacious shower, modern decor, towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, and hairdryer supplied. Lounge - Comfy L-shaped couch, smart TV with Chromecast, books, DVDs, and a kid's corner with DVDs, books, coloring books, games, etc. We can provide a single-bed proper mattress (with all the bedding) if required. Just ask! Check-in - Self-check-in, code provided for key safe after booking. Parking - directly in front of the guesthouse. Extra people - The couch is very comfortable and a single bed mattress can be made available. Additional charges will apply. Substantial garden and bbq/seating area in front of the guesthouse. We live in the main house and are happy to provide assistance and advice on activities, restaurants, wineries, beaches, golf courses etc. Enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Only five minutes drive from the Balnarring beaches, surrounded by top-class restaurants, wineries and golf courses. This is a place to relax, or to base yourself for adventures on the Mornington Peninsula. Only an hour’s drive from Melbourne but you feel you are in a different world. Having your own car is ideal, but note we are just a relaxed 15-minute walk from the Balnarring Village and local restaurants. Getting around Balnarring on bikes is also a good option.
