This quiet and peaceful campground also offers you a fire pit and laundry facilities. This standard campsites also includes : 20, 30 and 50 Amp electricity points as well as sewer and water available for your convenience. The Altamaha River Located just 6 miles north of us is the Great Altamaha River. The Altamaha River is the third largest river on the east coast of the United States and is home to a large and diverse ecosystem. Boating, fishing, and watersports are enjoyed almost year round here on the Altamaha. We have several Georgia controlled Wildlife Management Areas for hunting located near us, as well as a multitude of private hunting clubs with hundreds of acres of land reserved for hunting. The Moody Forest The Moody Forest Nature Conservancy is located adjacent to the Altamaha and contains one of the largest stands of old growth Longleaf Pines in the United States. Some of these trees have a diameter of nearly six feet. This preserve is open to the public for exploration and hiking. Plant Hatch Nuclear Power Station Also located 6 miles north of us is the Southern Nuclear E.I. Hatch Nuclear Power Station. Plant Hatch is the largest employer in the area with around 800 employees working regular work schedules and another 1,000 supplemental employees working periodically as needed. We support and provide for these supplemental work campers here at JB's RV Park. Hatch has just built a new, state of the art visitors center that explains in detail the workings of a nuclear power plant.
