Gorgeous 3 bedroom guest cottage on a stunning 100 acres, just 0.8kms from Federal Village. Includes everything you need for a comfortable stay. Open plan living and dining, lovely alfresco deck with gas BBQ and fairy lights is the perfect spot for afternoon drinks and an evening meal under the stars. Features WiFi, Foxtel, Netflix, Stan, split-system, wood stove, polished floors and carpeted bedrooms with TVs. Access to 100 acres of walking tracks, spring fed creek + waterhole for swimming. The sweet open plan cottage has been designed with a comfortable feel for an easy relaxed atmosphere. Numerous outdoor areas to enjoy the natural surrounds - go for a stroll around the maintained gardens, or the 100 acres of gum plantation, discover the rocky creek that runs through the property, or take a swim in the spring fed waterhole, and keep your eyes out for Koala's! There is even an outdoor shower to enjoy after a dip in the creek or a trip to the bay for a surf. A nice spot to park yourselves as you explore the Byron area and it's Hinterland. Guests will have access to the entire cottage, decks, fruit trees and gardens. On top of that the full 100 acres of gum forest, Collett Park, is open to explore, this is the home of a large local koala population, so keep an eye out for them and all the other wildlife who live there .. we provide a map to the fire trails and key spots for exploring. Please wear good shoes when walking the forest, and bring along reef shoes for swimming as it's a rocky bed. Please no jumping or diving at the waterhole as it is uneven under the surface. Strictly no smoking in the forest. We greet our guests on arrival, and are only the next house over on the farm if they need anything throughout their stay, and are available by text or in person. The Byron Hinterland is truly an amazing place, we especially love Doma Cafe in Federal, the boutique village of Bangalow is only 15 minutes away, and of course the amazing beaches of Byron Bay are just 25 minutes down the road. The nearest airport is Gold Coast Coolangatta and is just 45 minutes up the highway. There is a carport for one vehicle and room for other cars to park at the cottage. You will definitely need your own vehicle to get around the area as public transport isn't reliable. *** STRICTLY NO PETS OR EXTRA GUESTS *** Sorry, but we have two dogs and it would just be chaos with extra's here, much as we love them too! The home sleeps 6 comfortably, but please don't ask us on arrival if it's OK for extra guests to stay.
