This new cottage is one of two extremely comfortable & luxurious spaces ideally suited to couples looking for a short break in the quintessential Italian wine region of Australia. With everything you need for a comfortable getaway, it is the perfect home base for exploring the King Valley & making the most of your stay. Whether you're an outdoors type, a wine connoisseur or just simply here to unwind, then this is the place for you. For availability also look at Shed ONE & the BIG Shed A brand new cottage built to an exceptionally high standard comprising a large studio style bedroom with private en-suite. The bed is queen size fitted with Belgium flax linen, goose down duvets and feather pillows. A fully appointed kitchen with new modern appliances allows full catering if you chose to eat in. A comfortable lounge includes a wood fire heater, air-conditioning and TV. A spacious private deck overlooking the natural bush beyond has table a chairs for outdoor dinning, Weber Q BBQ and a large umbrella for shade. We do not live on the property but are only 6 minutes down the road. We will try and meet you as you arrive but if we can’t we will stay in communication throughout your stay. What’s not to love in the King Valley. The home of Italian varieties of wine. Prosecco, Sangiovese, Barberra & Nebbiolo to name a few. You have wineries, a brewery, a distillery, restaurants, bakeries, fishing, canoeing, walking, swimming to name just a few of the local activities and highlights. Don’t forget the fantastic festivals that happen each year. La Dolce Vita in November, Fit for a King in June and the High Country’s Harvest at Easter. Whitfield has a nine hole golf course, donated by the Pizzini family and managed by a group of dedicated locals. It’s no St Andrews but it’s fun and extremely close, actually its right next door. Your car is your primary transport but you will be close to many activities if you want to walk. We do have 2 bicycles if required. Other options are Warrawee Bus lines which will get you around during the festivals and there is also a local wine guide that can take 6 people in his mini van. This house is one of 3 guest homes on the large property. They are located on the outskirts of the village of Whitfield, just a few minutes walk to two of the premier local wineries - Pizzini and Dal Zotto, local cafe hobbledehoy, King Valley Fine Foods, Whitfield General Store and the Mountain View Hotel. Winter is here - Firewood is available from the farmer across the road for $25 for a bag. Let us know if you want a bag and I will arrange it. We do have WiFi on the property but it is mobile data and can be load affected at times. Telstra and Optus mobiles work on the property, Vodafone and TPG do not work at all in the valley.
