The Barn
Beautiful rural barn, built in 1718 and converted in 2018, with gorgeous views over the Herefordshire countryside to the Malvern Hills. Peaceful setting, perfect for those seeking tranquility. A ten minute stroll to The Three Horseshoes with its excellent food. Great base for cycling/ walking/ exploring Herefordshire and the Marches. 6 miles to Bromyard, 11 miles to Hereford. On a hillside up a private drive, and with its own terrace and private garden, the barn provides spacious and stylish accommodation. The main room is an open plan kitchen/ dining/ sitting room with a wood-burning stove and comfy sofas looking out over the garden and the view beyond. The well-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, fan oven and induction hob. Down two steps, a lovely, light lobby/ reading room leads to the downstairs double bedroom and a generous shower room. Upstairs (which used to be the hayloft) are two further bedrooms, a double and a twin (the latter has zip and link beds that can make a superking-size when put together). Also upstairs is another bathroom with a compact bath and handheld shower. The barn has wifi throughout (please see note below) and a smart TV. There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, and radiator central heating upstairs. There's plenty of parking space right outside the door and secure storage for bikes. Sorry - strictly no children under 16, pets or parties. We live in the main house, over the garden wall, and would be happy to help with any information/ queries during your stay. The excellent village pub, The Three Horseshoes, is a ten minute walk away. Our location is great for Bromyard's many festivals (Folk, Speed, Scarecrow, Nozstock to name but a few). All within easy striking distance are Hay Festival, Ledbury Poetry Festival, Hereford Cathedral, Three Choirs Festivals, the Three Counties Show, the Spring and Autumn Malvern Shows, the Malvern Hills and the Black Mountains. The Chase Distillery and the Wye Valley Brewery are both in neighbouring villages. We are also a short drive from both Bredenbury Court and Crumplebury venues. Unless you arrive on a bike or on foot, you'll need a car to get here and get around. NB Please be aware that although the wifi is generally not at all bad considering how rural we are, we do not yet have superfast broadband, so please do not rely on uninterrupted, perfect connection e.g. for work meetings/ gaming!
