Farmhouse Apartment Happy Cow

Our place is an excellent point for discovering the majority of most beautiful places of Slovenia. At the same time you will have a unique opportunity to experience a daily life on a dairy farm. Farmhouse apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). Farmhouse Happy Cow provides an accommodation and the opportunity to freely experience life on a busy dairy farm. It is situated on a beautiful fertile plains and has splendid views of surrounding mountains in Gorenjska region. We are family with two young children, we own and lead the dairy farm of 50 cattle. We produce fresh milk and you can freely get it each day. Aleš is a vet, mainly occupied in dairy selection and genetics and recognized as a breeder of beautiful cows which often take part in dairy shows. His long-term goal is to take part in European Championship Show. Our farm has a long tradition. On a farm there is a 500 years old building, which was used by bishops from Škofja Loka, where they collected taxes, grain and other products from peasants. The house offers an apartment with three bedrooms, bathroom, big living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and two balconies where you can enjoy beautiful views and relax. In front of the house there is a children playground, where all kids are welcome. In Praše we recommend you an excellent bakery & food shop with locally produced food Pr’ Gregorc. 5 minutes walk away on the bank of Trboje lake there is a fishing cottage, where you can eat the best fresh fried trout with potato salad. The restaurant is in the next village, 10 minutes walk away. The village Praše lies between Ljubljana and Kranj, 10 minutes drive from highway, 20 minutes from airport Ljubljana and 10 minutes from Škofja Loka. Praše also has a direct bus connection to Ljubljana and Kranj.
