Welcome to my beautiful 19th century converted workshop in the heart of Cockermouth on the edge of the Lake District. Its a hidden gem perfectly situated for peace and quiet. Cockermouth is a fabulous ancient market town full of lovely unique shops to explore. Pubs and restaurants are only a few minutes walk away. The fells are a close drive away where you can hike to your hearts content. The ocean is only a 15 minutes drive to watch some amazing sunsets, which I would definitely recommend. You will have a spacious room with a king size bed, private en-suite and fitted wardrobe. Smart TV plus Netflix, Wifi, towels and hairdryer. The room has tea and coffee making facilities, fresh fruit and a breakfast offering cereals and home-made cheese scones. There is a collection of books in the room to help you plan your day of exploring. If you prefer to have a cooked breakfast, there are many cafes and restaurants very close, in town, to choose from. Guests will have their own front door key, provided on arrival. The access is into the hallway where shoes and coats are to remain. Your room, which is spacious, is your own living space, to come and go as you please. The front outside area of the house has a bench, where you are welcome to sit with a cup of tea and listen to the river after your long day out. The downstairs living area is private. Quiet private road There are local buses. If just exploring Cockermouth its all in walking distance. Arrival times by arrangement. I will greet you at the house to show you around and talk you through your forthcoming stay. I can advise you on the local area, ideas of good walks and help you in any way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I am very chilled and will be around between my own walks, so if there is anything else you need to ask, I shall try and assist. Please be respectful of noise while in your room, ideally TV to be off by 10.30pm! If you would like to stay a night that has been blocked off in the calendar, let me know as I may be able to change my commitments however this is not guaranteed. If you were intending to book the room for a late night return, please contact me prior to booking. I have a dog so probably not suitable if allergic!
