Great views at Farm Retreat

Beckworth Retreat is a working farm with White Dorper Sheep located at the foot of Mt Beckworth just 20 minutes from Ballarat. There are 2 accommodation bungalows recently purpose built for couples or families who want to experience the quiet farm life with all the comforts when sleeping or relaxing inside. Wake up to the magpies outside your window, go to sleep with the frogs, kookaburras or cockatoos calling from the creek. Ahh...the serenity! The self contained area of 2 bedrooms share a kitchenette (fridge, sink, microwave, toaster and kettle - suitable for breakfast/snacks but not cooking meals) and large bathroom with Universal Access facilities. Bedroom arrangements are flexible ie King Bed in one room - can be split into 2 singles - and various singles/double/king single in the other so most suited to children (Please advise what bedding options you require as there are several options including baby basinette or Universal Access facilities) There is an extensive garden area (enclosed for your furry friends) and a large verandah area where you can always find a spot to just sit in the sun or the shade. Walkers can access Mt Beckworth Scenic Reserve via our farm tracks. Usually you will be greeted on arrival and assisted as needed. We will let you know if we are away and you will need to use smart lock keys to access the property. The historic township of Clunes (Victoria's first gold mining town) is only 5' drive and it is highly recommended to spend some hours browsing through the Booktown stores or just sitting having a coffee in the historic "film set" main street. Many Victorian Secrets (Pyrenees, Goldfields, Mineral Spas) are all a short drive away. Only 20 minutes drive north of Ballarat so easy access from the A8 (Adelaide to Melbourne freeway). BBQ facilities are available but we do recommend many of the local restaurants/cafes/hotels for lunches and dinner - the local National Hotel will pick you up and drop you off if you ring them to book for dinner. Tea/Coffee essentials are provided and Breakfast Essentials or BBQ Pack can be provided if requested with enough notice.
