Welcome to our family home an inviting, boutique style Victorian house set in the attractive Edinburgh suburb Eskbank, a perfect location for a fabulous Scottish Holiday! Bed linen, handsoap + fresh towels are provided. We've been working on our home for the past 4 years to offer you eclectic character, traditional yet full of modern conveniences. Boutique style rooms with large cosy beds, underfloor heating in kitchen & dining area, 2 modern woodburning stoves, limestone and wood floors, large, modern, open plan kitchen/dining/garden room with bi-fold doors that open onto the southwest facing garden. Outdoor furniture is provided so you can relax and eat alfresco! Just 2 mins walk away is a bus stop with buses every 10 mins into Edinburgh. A train station half a mile away has regular trains into centre of Edinburgh or to the beautiful Scottish Borders. A Morrisons Supermarket is just 5 mins walk or a large Tesco with fuel station a 2 mins drive. Great local restaurants. Easy access to Glasgow on M8 or to Forth Bridges. Queensferry is a lovely day out and a days sailing is available at Port Edgar. Eskbank Terrace is the perfect place for getting away from it all yet close enough to explore Edinburgh City delights! Close by are the beaches & Links Golf courses along the scenic East Lothian coast line. A visit to the seaside town North Berwick is a great trip out! 10 mins walk away is the Duke of Buccleuch’s Dalkeith Country Park with delightful walks along the river Esk or through the old oak woodland & afterwards why not visit the cafe or restaurant at Restoration Yard or even do a spot of shopping there. Entire house except 1 small room which is used for storage. Key lock box is provided for entry and we're on hand 24 hours a day to answer your questions via email or mobile. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. Beautiful walks are on the doorstep! There is Morrisons supermarket just 5 mins walk from the house and a larger Tesco supermarket a 2 mins drive. Eskbank is a leafy suburb with lots of character & charming Victorian Villas. The beautiful Dalkeith Country Park is a 10 min walk away with gorgeous grounds and walks as well as the Stables which have been converted into a courtyard cafe, restaurant, well being centre and unique shopping. Fort Douglas outdoor play area is fun for the kids to let off steam too! There are 3 great golf courses within a few mins walk & just a short drive away are the famous Links Golf courses of Gullane & North Berwick. There is further parking nearby along a no through wide road, only 1 min from the house. There is parking for 2 cars off road directly by house.
