Sicilian Townhouse -"The BoltHole"

This is our holiday home, it's a simple but comfortable townhouse in a very typical Sicilian town and our neighbours are extremely helpful and welcoming. We have been enjoying our holidays here for 8 years and love sharing it with guests who would like to experience a bit of real Sicilian life. The first floor has a small living room and open plan kitchen diner. The ground floor has 2 bedrooms and a small bathroom. There is also a terrace which is accessed by a ladder and trap door. This is the place to be at sundown- a cool breeze and view of the castle and surrounding hills will be the perfect end to your day! As this is our holiday home you will find many things you wouldn't find in a 'self-catering' apartment, like games, cookbooks, herbs and spices and books left by other guests in exchange. We welcome you and hope you will love it as much as we do! You will have access to the entire house and terrace. Our lovely neighbours are usually on hand if you need anything. I'm sure you will enjoy the maze of cobbled streets. There are lots of cafes and bars serving pastries, delicious cakes and of course cocktails. There's also a very good restaurant in the origobnal grain stores of the castle which is very popular and serves great local food and pizzas. There is free parking very near to the amazing castle. This is a 5-10 minute walk from the house. As this town (like many Sicilian towns) is built on a mountain, there are quite a few stairs to climb to get to the house.
